Stupid questions......can someone please explain in simple terms what the 3D printer is that they keep reporting he made it with? Also, would it pass thru TSA assuming he flew from Hawaii to Atlanta (??) Or did he make it in continental US or have help?

He didn't necessarily have a 3D printer. He could have bought all the pieces, legally, which someone else 3D printed and assembled it himself. I'm sure someone else will be able clarify.

And if he has been out of touch with his family for six months, to me that says he may not have been in Hawaii during that time.

Luigi said in his manifesto that his post back surgery left him unable to be "intimate" with women; that nothing was working down below. In his arrest photo, the front of his pants are soaked like he may have pissed himself. He is only 26 years old and he has been ghosting his family and friends (perhaps he had lots of friends) for the past several months. Schizophrenia very often hits people in Luigi's age group and this change in quality of life may have pushed him over the edge.
