I think the group following Kathleen is fine. You'd think that the group would follow Mr. ex-military, but I think what she does is channels this group's rage. Her brother being the leader of this group, and him getting killed at the hands of FEDRA, doesn't land her as the group's leader just because, but what she ends up doing is just channeling this group's rage which helps her lead the "revolution." Her anger drives their anger.

She then just becomes the leader by default and the group wants to get Henry and make him pay - none more motivated to do so than she is. So she's the leader by default, not so much because she's the most intelligent or the most capable, but more so because she is able to channel and lock these people in to do what has to be done. I could see her being replaced after a while once the job is finished

Along those same lines...you just know Dante Hall is kicking it somewhere because there's no way in hell any mushroom head could catch him in the open field.

The good news for him is he should be able to park wherever he wants after the outbreak.

The part that I find laughable is the notion that her brother was a great man that everybody admired, yet he didn't change anything but she, as the clueless idiot she clearly was, somehow lead them to overturn FEDRA.

Either way I was happy to see her go as there would be no more discussion about her but also because she was a complete b_tch who deserved to be mushroom infested.

There are blind people who use echo location now. So yeah, that is not a stretch.

I'm almost positive they stated in the show that the fungus replaces all of your tissue and bones over time. That's why the grandma in the wheelchair in the first episode was able to sprint after getting infected. If you are looking for plotholes, you could question why Sam's hearing wasn't restored as quickly as the grandma in the wheel chair (not that this bothers me at all), but the giant zombies are fully rational within the rules of the show.

Also, they stated in the show that there were maintenance tunnels everywhere under the city, and our group literally came out of one a few hundred yards away from the house where the pit formed. It's absolutely not unrealistic to say there was another one close by running under the house.

Let's say all of that is realistic, you still have to admit, it's awfully convenient that when a band of militants are about to capture and kill all 4 heroes, that it just so happens that truck fell into a sink hole unleashing a bunch of zombies to save the day.

No one is saying that. But the vast majority of us understand that shows are going to have contrivances that often aren't realistic. You're the only one that seems to have an obsession with making sure that this show is the most realistic it could possibly be.

News flash, dude. It's fiction. It's going to have moments that are awfully convenient because it's trying to set up a story line or a cool action sequence. Get over it and stop littering this thread with your pointless critiques.

There is a difference between suspending disbelief and "you have got to be ****ing me" moments like having a gazillion zombies come out of a hole from nowhere to kill all of antagonists just at the moment they are about to execute the protagonists. I mean come on.

If you guys think that is good writing, then you are the ones on the spectrum.

As an aside, injecting levity into otherwise hardcore scenes is an art. Ellie and Joel with guns to their heads and Joel's "******* voice" saying 'Everything is great…' got a good laugh out of me.

And yet a post that provided an explanation of how an infected could be that tall, but also ended by pointing out that atm is a real beating, was deleted. Maybe this one will be too. I won't see it to find out. Enjoy the show, folks. Thanks to those of you who tried to contribute to the fun.
