The problem with people who are familiar with source material is they will comment on something being left out or different, without having any idea whether the showrunners are just planning to add those things at a later point in the story.

For me, it's even little remarks like, "i'm dreading this next episode." So now I expect something awful to happen? It's not hard to have 2 threads on this forum of those familiar with the source material and those not familiar with it.

I think a lot of this was inspired by Scott Sigler's infected series.

I'm pretty sure I know what happens in the end based on that book series.

Two great opening scenes so far.

So creepy when she basically tells them to nuke the whole city after learning so few already have it.

I figured Tess had to die at some point since every HBO preview and game cover is just Joel/Ellie. Actually figured it would just be those two from the start.

I literally played about 2 hours of the game. I have no idea what happens in this story outside of what has been teased in the post credits scene. That, and something from the second game that got spoiled for me when scrolling through YouTube thumbnails. I'm not going to the other thread filled with spoilers.

Saying they nailed the Clickers is in no way a spoiler. Get over yourself. Hell, that could have been a comment by someone who didn't know they existed until today.

At this point it's not the gamers who are ruining the thread, it's the snowflakes who are getting belligerent over one super benign comment.

Back on topic:

Clickers were awesome.

I'm hoping Joel and Ellie's chemistry starts to pick up in the coming episodes. I'm not finding Ellie to be very likeable at the moment. Need her to throttle back on that whole "angry at the world" teen girl thing. Hopefully, they start to let their guards down and we get good character growth.

I'm also hoping we get to see Tommy again. I liked him in the first episode and will be kind of pissed if he's dead by the time Joel makes it out to him, if he ever does. Based on what I understood from the first episode, he was listening for the pop song to know something about Tommy, and the 80's song played.

I think they said but isn't Tommy geographically far away in another state? Not sure how far the Bill and Frank people are if that was their names.

Great, incredibly tense episode, but for whatever reason I thought their destination was a lot farther away, both geographically and episodically. So I was confused for a second when Tess got all pissed there toward the end. I didn't realize they were already there.
