i was mostly kidding. i def enjoy the mike parts more, but hell BrBa was so good that even if the jimmy story stays slow for a while i am in for the ride.

I have no issue with the pace of Jimmy's story. Delayed gratification is an acquired taste, and I think Bob Odenkirk is a good actor.

I just want to know who the guy is at the diner with Mike.

"Do I know you?"

I hope that's not the last scene of the episode and we don't find out who it is until next week.

Very interesting, well-written episode.

Jimmy is the least interesting character on this show.

The only problem, other than that, that I have with the show is that these older folks just look so much older than their versions in BB, and the uncle continues that pattern.

Great writing, great acting.

Episode was boring. Best part was Hector showing up to blackmail Mike. I wonder if Mike is the one to put him in a wheelchair and be unable to talk.....

I'm going to have to disagree with you on that one. Tio Salamanca looked much older in BB.

Looked it up.

Walt used Mesa Credit Union. Not sure if it's the same company nor not.

Pretty meh episode for me until the last two scenes. If I had to suffer through one more minute of the Kim cold calls I would have lost it.

Very last part of the episode preview........

I think he was already showing signs of shaking and he was talking pretty slow. Not sure what disease/ailment/whatever Hector had in BrBa but I don't think it was inflicted by a person.

Yeah you're probably right. Maybe something caused the condition though. Or someone.

Nice little entrance "ding" before Hector walks in the diner.

I always assumed he had a stroke but maybe Gus hired Mike to kill him, like the nephew in the hospital, and it went wrong or he was resuscitated and left like that.

I think it would be awesome if somehow HHM or Chuck represented Walt's partners in Grey Matter Technologies and is the reason Walt only ended up with $5K. Probably happened way before where we are in BCS and would have no impact or way to tie it into the current course of events.

I caught that as well. That was cool!

I thought this episode was great. The scene with Kim and Chuck was my favorite one with Michael McKean so far. And Kim was performed well tonight too.

Agreed. I'm all in for this series being a slow burn thanks to the ground work of bb. It was definitely a filler episode to move forward the narrative, but the series needed that. No complaints from me

Overall I thought this episode was a bit shakier than most until the end.
But there are so many little things they throw in that are just awesome - the attention to detail is amazing - that alone makes it worth the watch.
The scene where Kim is with Howard and he basically sends her back to the mail room, and they literally close the scene with something (the flag) twisting in the wind?
The ding for hector.
Him having trouble with the copier when the associate finds him after he bragged about it earlier.
A Yo Yo Ma reference.
The Mesa Verde reference.
And then things that no one but the writers probably care about, but when Kim finally gets the good news that she has gotten a client, it's in the parking garage. where we used to see her and Jimmy. They could have put her anywhere and they chose there.

I do think though they have stripped Jimmy a bit in the last few episodes, made him more simplistic. And I think by now we get why his brother doesn't like him, that being reinforced every week can end. But the first scene at least gave a bit of a new look on it all.
We do need to get back to Jimmy the confidence man, the hustler, that's when his character excels.

Heh. AMC is showing Under Siege after Saul tonight.

The guy who played Tuco has a minor role in this movie. (Ramirez)

I am sure this was part of Gilligan's plan.

Was this something in BB? Or a past episode of BCS? Can't place it.

Interested why Kim is meeting with Sandpiper lawyers. I wonder if Saul set that up because if he did I don't think it's gonna wind up working the way he wants it to.

Last night's episode was terrible boring IMO. If this show is going to survive on keeping viewers coming back just to see which BB character will appear next it's in trouble.
