So far the only story we have ever heard from their childhood has been Chuck's side of the story. Slippin' Jimmy came a little later. Who is to say Chuck didn't make Jimmy become Slippin' Jimmy?
The flashback of Jimmy stealing from his father wasn't from chucks perspectiv . Jimmy made the decision to lie and steal from his father at a young age without any chuck issues.
Yes it was. Chuck told that story to Kim. He could've been lying out his ass about it for all we know
Thats completely incorrect. There is no context given whatsoever.
Its online, go watch it again. Beginning of "Inflatable".
http://www.amc.com/shows/better-call-saul/full-episodes/season-02/episode-07/inflatableIt starts with "previously on scenes"....then the first scene is the flashback set in 1970 with Jimmy and his Dad in the shop, Chuck is not around (so he would never be able to relate this story anyway).then at the end of the scene as Jimmy pockets the money it goes straight into the opening credits.after the commercial break it comes back and we are in present day with Jimmy scribbling on a notepad (logos for his idea of MCgill and Wexler) while waiting for Mike at the courthouseChuck is never shown or heard in relation to this flashback - it can only be from Jimmy's perspective.
I think you are confusing that with an earlier scene in an earlier episode in which Chuck talks about as an adult going back to help his Dad with the books and realizing there were discrepancies. He blames Jimmy and tells his Dad but his Dad won't believe it. That is what he related to Kim. It wasn;t about that flashback of Jimmy as a boy.
The episode where Chuck tells Kim about Jimmy embezzling from his dad is episode 5 called "Rebecca"
