Gilligan had an interview stating they worked closely with Milwaukee to film that scene, in fact they were able to procure an original unused Sawzall of that era directly from the company. They also had to cut a shot they filmed showing Mike with a cig lighter inverter, Milwaukee charger, and 5 battery packs in his rental car. He also stated they tested the Sawzall on over 30 michelin Load E tires from that era and they accounted for atmospheric and elevation impacts for the location where they filmed. They also did a traffic count on that road to make sure the fact no on drove by during the entire operation was believable. Gilligan went on to state he knew this might be questioned so they have prepared a 48 page powerpoint showing their communications with Milwaukee, data on the battery and inverter capabilities, detailed data of their testing, and statistical analysis of the traffic stats.
