So, if Chuck dies, is unintentionally killing his brother the final straw in the Jimmy to Saul conversion?

Nah. There has to be a reason to rebrand himself.

I'm betting he does something publicly like the Cleveland sunroof or is professionally hurt that he cant get work as Jimmy McGill.

I do agree that buying the round of drinks was out of character for Mike. But you have to keep in mind that he just scored enough money for his DIL and granddaughter to be set for a while.

After his talk with Nacho, he's no doubt gonna keep after Hector. Obviously after seeing the preview.

He also wants to be a better person but hasn't done anything that he can even feel good about. He couldn't resist being the good guy. Out of character for sure.

Jimmy has to rebrand himself because counter boy sings. Jimmy loses the girlfriend and what little reputation he had. He will never be the likeable Jimmy again. Moves south to Albuquerque and "rebrands"'himself as Saul.

Maybe he chooses to run across the street to help Chuck. Either way, he can't win. I'm ready for Saul. Jimmy is not carrying the show. I think Mike is now. Saul will dive headfirst into trouble and the show can go anywhere from there. Both he and Mike have been trying to be better people but ****'s about to get interesting while they both show their true colors.

I've thought for a while that Kim ditching him will be the final straw. After that, there will be nothing holding him back from being Slippin' Jimmy with a law degree. And I don't think we have much longer to wait.

Episode title was Nailed. Double entendre with the two plot lines.

I think in BB Hank and Gomez talk about him having a stroke in jail if I'm not mistaken... Which is interesting, because he has not

a) had a stroke yet

b) gone to jail

So, food for thought.

Also, might have been the best episode of the show thus far.

1. Just realized Chuck is one of the main characters in Short Circuit 2.

2. They need to make a prequel to Better Call Saul and call it "Don't Mess with Mike"

That would be awesome but Mike ain't getting any younger. In fact I hope they are still filming for future seasons just in case his age were to catch up with him.

By far my favorite episode of both seasons, it had the most Breaking Bad feel to it.

I didn't get to see it last night, but damn this board blew up. Not reading anything past yesterday afternoon until I see the 4/11 show.

That's way to simple for this show. As others have mentioned, though, it's a stroke that causes the handicap. I expect Mike to replace whatever pills Hector was taking with some sort of coagulant that stokes him out. Thats just my storyline, though. This Hector vs Mike thing has the potential to be great.

Perhaps, but Mike's intention is to kill. Maybe something interrupts him.

I thought Jimmy had become an ol' mule working on the Erie Canal.

I think it's going to be more simple and that Hector just gets his **** so worked up that he strokes out.

Also interesting to see that as sharp as Mike is, these plans keep failing in the end. Ends up with Hector and the cartel on his ass over Tuco, now he got some innocent schmoe killed.

Very true, but I think this is what everyone was waiting for when the show started.

Yep, his career took off as Lenny!
He was in a top 5 show for 4 years, and a top 25 show for 4 years.

Not too bad.

Most people of my generation remember him first as Lenny.

And his acting career has done well in comparison to anyone else on that show.

No Half Measures.

It shows how Mike learned the consequences of them.

I thought for sure people were going to be crying on here about too much Chuck.

I've been thinking this, but at the same time, it sort of undercuts his example to Walt. The girl that got killed didn't stop him from continuing with the half measures.
Rudyjax

Yeah, I forgot about that story. I had to rewatch it.

And he kept Lydia alive too.

Mike doesn't practice what he preaches either.

He's not all bad. Just mostly bad.

How long do you want to ignore this user?
I think it makes sense that Mike would continually do actions that violate the "No half measures" principle. We all have characteristics that are deeply embedded in our personalities that we know cause us to do things contrary to what we desire, but we still do them. Even painful lessons may not entirely correct our behavior.

Thanks for clarifying. This entire time, I've been thinking both law offices were in Sante Fe.
