I'm thinking Nacho is going to be the reason Hector is in the wheelchair. We know he still doesn't to work with Tuco and Saul claims it is his fault when Walter and Jessie kidnap him.

I think Nacho goes to Gus next to deal with Hector/Tuco and it goes bad. This would also tie Mike to Gus.

Better episode last night IMO. The brother was not in it at all which was a good thing. I have grown tired of whatever it is that ails him.

This thing could any number of ways which is what keeps us guessing. The Mike and Jimmy career arcs have to merge at some point so you know Mike is not going to spend significant time in the hole over a gun charge. He also gave false testimony which id not a good thing at all but let's wait and see how it turns out.

Haven't seen it yet but will jimmy be Mike's lawyer?

Good point. He almost certainly will represent Mike.

Yeah, my guess is Saul works his sly magic and gets Mike free with no charge. I don't recall Mike having a record when the DEA got onto him in BB, right?

Have we seen Mike's hand shake before? I assume it's not nerves.

Could be his "sense of urgency" like Walt's cancer.

Turns up the breaking bad to take care of his Daughter and Granddaughter.

Maybe they are going to visit a Parkinsons story we didn't ever see signs of in BB, but I mostly took it as nerves. He's tough as nails, but it doesn't mean he isn't feeling the pressure of the reality that he's locked into a battle with the friggin mexican cartel.

Having to walk into a tensed up situation every night when you come home, and having to constantly have your head on a swivel will get to the toughest of men.

I'm not as down on the Jimmy episodes as a lot of y'all are, but I thought this was the best mix of Jimmy and Mike that we have gotten in a while.

Haven't read the whole thread, but people are down on a show for being about the title character? Just stop watching!

Eh, I think it's legit. The complaint is that the Jimmy to Saul storyline is moving much slower than the Mike storyline. Lots of one step forward, two steps back.

Y'all talking about his hand shaking when he was washing the blood off his gun & hands?

Have y'all never been in a fight or physical confrontation? You take out two thugs hiding in your home sent to beat or kill you the adrenaline will have to shaking & wired for hours.

The bearded guy also had a role as a reoccurring defense lawyer on Law and Order.

Thought it was a good episode. I had my doubts when it took as back to Kim and Jimmy conning together, but it was pulled out of the mud by seeing some foreshadowing and symbolism going on. Good to see this transition to Saul getting very close.

It'll be interesting to see how Mike gets out of going to jail. I'm assuming somehow he does since this show would take a huge hit with Mike in it.

And Kim is hot.

The episode description for next week says that Jimmy and Mike work together to get out of a bad situation. Thinking it's referring to the gun situation. Mike will use Jimmy again to get out of it.

They talked about this on the podcast. That's exactly what it was.

If you guys haven't begun to trust these guys to make a great story then I have nothing to say to you.

The Better Saul Insider podcast by Kelly Dixon. Gillian and Gou l d are usually on it. They have 1 actor and usually the episode writer on it.

I watch the episode then listen then watch again. It's cool to see the technical stuff they talk about.

I'm behind on this thread so I may have missed it but was there any discussion of the opening of the episode prior to this one - dinner at Chuck's home with his violinist wife and all the lawyer jokes? What are the prevailing theories here?

Chuck is jealous / cant stand his brother. Making his wife laugh irritated that **** out him amd he kept looking for the wife to make the sign to end dinner.

It was obviously awhile back when chuck first got his brother a job in the mail room out of pity. The dislike for jimmy has been around awhile. Thiught the scene was straightforward

Wonder if we find out what happened to the wife? Death? Divorce? Is either behind his "disease"? Does it matter? Probably not. I get hooked on trivial matters I guess.

I think that happens with a lot of viewers. Sometimes seemingly trivial things become significant plot issues later. That was always part ofnhe attraction for BrBa and BCS.

I guess that was the point of my original question - should've worded it better. Essentially, will this be something that we return to later. Gilligan has such a history of this - revisiting what originally seemed like "trivial" plot points.

One of the things I learned is that if they are in the show, it is probably for a reason. I don't obsess about the details, but I try to remember them because we'll probably see them again.

Two things I really enjoyed from the Saul side of things last week:

1. Him getting restless in his posh new apartment and wanting to go back to his tiny closet office to sleep.

2. Him bristling as he watched the lame-ass stock footage commercial Davis and Maine put out to replace his "art" lol

I'm assuming Chuck and his wife get divorced. Maybe his mental issues originated there.

I don't think the wife and what happens to her is trivial. I think that's pretty basic and standard storytelling that we're going to find out what happened to her.

We'll especially see that now that we know where the source of Chuck's anger towards Jimmy lies(stealing money from the family business and ruining his father's business years back).
COOL LASER FALCON

I loved the dinner scene with Chuck's wife. We've known Chuck looked down on Jimmy and has held Jimmy back because of his con-man past, but this was the first time we've seen that jealousy enter into it. I thought it added a lot to their relationship.

Oh.

Do you remember what part of the podcast? I'm not doubting you.

It's almost an 1 1/2 hours long and I don't have the time to listen to the whole thing.

Thanks for the info.

Didn't anyone else notice the whole deal with the lights when Chuck and his wife were preparing for dinner? She asked him if the lights were too bright or something, and he said they were fine. And it was pretty dark at that. Chuck was already going coo coo.
