Should just rebuild at this point. That lineup looks bad.

I have no clue what Cleveland is doing.
First baseman Carlos Santana and the Cleveland Guardians are in agreement on a one-year, $12 million contract, pending physical, sources tell ESPN. The Guardians traded Josh Naylor, and now they bring the 38-year-old Santana back for his third stint with the organization.

Unloaded salary.
Gimenez was in year 3 of a 106 M deal
Naylor was going to get ~14 M in arb then walk. Got the comp pick a year early plus a player.

Our bullpen needs another arm as well.
My biggest worry is we have zero depth and outside of the second half of 2022 we've had bad luck with injuries

You don't think the DBACKS can contend?

So. Everyone get your bets down.
Does Bregman sign for MORE or LESS than 6/156? That's a $26 MM AAV
I'm going with LESS years and total value but a higher AAV. 3/92 with an opt out at year 1, 2 and 3. And then he opts out at year 1 and tries again.
if the Mets missed out on Soto and got:
— jUSTIN (@metsventpage) December 21, 2024
- a 30 y/o declining pitcher
- a 30 y/o declining outfielder
- a reliever via trade
- a 37 y/o first baseman
- a 35 y/o reliever who's never been good
there would be talks of it being the worst offseason pivot in MLB history, but bc of…

I actually think the Yanks have been wise to avoid Soto and make those moves. Soto already looks out of shape and is pretty meh in the OF. I could see him aging very poorly with that contract.

Boras claims he had an offer higher than the Astros.
Is he lying? Guess we'll find out
