Let me know when more players are willing to do deferred money for teams other than LA and large markets.
I will say Edman and Snell look like overpays so the deferrals seem like a way of making the contract look bigger than it is. I don't think I want either of those contracts here if it's a straight money deal over the contract period. It wouldn't shock me if Boras is pushing these deals so he can say he got a bigger contract than he really did for purposes of negotiating other deals.
