I suspect if we could move Pressly in a reasonable trade we already would have. His no trade combined with his pay and age makes it extremely difficult. Think you have to cross him off the list of offseason trade candidates. If you want to free up a few bucks to sign a guy like Grichuk then you need to talk about moving Caratini, Dubon and or Chas (have to move 2 of those 3). Sogard from the Red Sox would be a good target to replace Dubon as a switch hitter.

I'm happy with the Walker signing but if the Astros hadn't gotten him a 1-year deal for Goldschmidt is still probably a good deal.

Given their payroll, even if he's not as good it's not as big of a risk because they have so much money

I think he will be solid for another year or two

Gimenez was in year 3 of a 106 M deal
Naylor was going to get ~14 M in arb then walk. Got the comp pick a year early plus a player.
