Down year at 26 isn't good but below 6% career walk rate is terrible, especially with mediocre power. He's been living off BAbips around .350 before last year (Tony Gwynn's career BAbip was .341). Sucks is strong but I'd love the Yanks to pay him off his superstar name.

I agree he misplayed this, but he had the opportunity. Chasing the extra cash was more important. I don't fault him, but if that's your decision, immortality doesn't really matter to you.

He was a Red Sox fan growing up. He's from Connecticut so Toronto is much closer but unless you are in your home town, how much does it really help? Either way you are traveling all the time, spring training in Florida (just like here), and still have to fly to get "home".
