You guys shouldn't beat yourselves up about Game 7 2019. My wife lost us that game.

Right there with you.
Yep. Game 1 I was just ecstatic to be at my first World Series game ever in person… didn't care that we lost because I thought "well we will win it in 5 or 6 now I guess"
Game 7 was the most sad/mad/disappointed feeling leaving the stadium… it was eerily quiet and then it started raining on me walking to the car. Horrible
I remember that sad/quiet feeling like yesterday and will never forget. It started in the 7th inning after Harris gave up the homerun. Stadium just died. We were only down 2, but crowd never got back in it. Sucked the life right out of the stadium. Then the long walk back to the car in the rain was so poetic for the night.

I was at 2019 games 6 and 7.
After 6 we still had hope for game 7.
After game 7 it was a terrible walk back to my car near 8th Wonder in the monsoon. The weather matched the mood.
From what I understand; Scott Boras is trying to get another team (maybe #Nats) to offer Pete Alonso a long term deal that he can shop to #Mets.

It’s not working as of yet, but I wouldn’t be penciling in Alonso at the moment.
Frustrating process, this.

Was it one or two years ago where several of his clients weren't even signed as of opening day because he was playing such hardball?

Last offseason. Monty, Snell, Belli, and Chapman.

Wonder how much that ended up costing those guys.

If you're Bregman, you've got to be sweating a little at this point.

Hypothetically, if Bregman is fine with the Astros initial offer, could we sign him and stick him in LF? If I remember correctly, he was getting playing time in LF in the minors before he was called up to the Astros since we already had Valbuena (RIP) playing 3B. Granted that was a long time ago...

I was curious what we would do with Paredes if we did sign Alex, at this point.Farmer1906 said:
I don't see how it hasn't. We're all full up at 3B, 2B, and 1B (where Paredes would move).
