Not afraid of Memphis this year, at all. Last year we were injured and they had a Cinderella post season. This year, Spurs have tangibly improved while Memphis has reverted to playing at it's true ability.

But im sure theres other things. Leadership values. Intrinsic value to the franchise and nba as a whole. International appeal. Ginobili is pretty much the foreign Derek Fisher at this point. I respect that.

For my 1000th post, I'd like to take time out my day to say: this team rules. This Spurs team kicks ass and has kicked ass all season long. Each year that goes by I try to appreciate more and more the solid bball this team has played for so long. The last few years have been frustrating, but THIS team has got it. We are running short of years with Pop and Tim. Let's hope they keep rolling so I can celebrate a championship as an actual San Antonio resident. STRIVE FOR FIVE!!
