He has been a lot better since the Mavs won a title, but I seem to recall him being one of the more over-the-top people before that.

Being a mavs fan, you'd know quite a bit about flaming out in the playoffs, wouldn't you? But since only titles matter, 4-0 in the Finals trumps 1-1 in the Finals any day of the week.
Internet, I was a kid in the 90s and LOVED Jordan. Spurs was always my second team, and they became my team when Jordan retired.
So things worked out well for me.

We have not been happy the past 4 playoffs. Not a one bit.
I really want to play Phoenix in the first round to avenge that sweep from a couple years ago. Also because they could probably sit two of the big three and still win in 6.

I'm one of the few who didn't. Appreciated his highlights, but I was never a true fan of his--more of a David Robinson guy when I was a kid.
You can celebrate the regular season. I don't see the problem with that. Everyone knows it doesn't guarantee success in the playoffs. But in the end everyone would rather be good the whole season and not always try to just "turn it on" in the playoffs. Very, very few teams have been able to actually do that despite the claim that it happens every year.

Spurs fans are proud of the teams sustained winning over the past 15 seasons. It is exciting to be able to follow your team as they actually compete for a championship year in and year out, even as circumstances change. At the end of the year, losing sucks and you are only truly happy when you see your team hoist the trophy. But that doesn't mean I don't enjoy the hell outta watching the spurs play at the highest level every season.
Oh and it has been freaking awesome to win 4 titles over that time span. I we are all looking forward to the playoffs as we compete for another.

Neal's shoulder / neck injury looked bad live. Good thing they really won't need him at all in the 1st round. That'll give him a bout 3 weeks to rest it up and get it healthy.

Who knows what Pop has in mind, but I'm betting it's something along the lines of either no big 3 or extremely limited minutes for all 3.
I'd also consider:
1) Is PHX already eliminated? If not, rest all important players / mail it in to avoid injury in a hotly contested game. If they are eliminated, give everyone some minutes to keep them sharp but don't press too hard.
2) Does CHI win or lose at IND? If they lose, put a little more effort into getting the W and maybe give slightly more minutes than you want to the starters. If CHI wins, you probably go ahead and give up on the overall #1 and mail it in.

There is almost nothing to play for these last two games. Almost. It would still be nice to get to 50 wins, and it would be nice to have home kurt against Chicago (should the Spurs play them in the finals), although that appears unlikely.
I respected the Jordan Bulls but I never rooted for them. I didn't like Jordan compared to the Bird/Magic era right before it. It was all about him and I got very burned out on the worship. The preferential treatment for the Bulls at that time was over the top and it was like the rest of the NBA was there just for practice for them at times.
Didn't surprise me a bit to see Jordan turn into a lost human being in his post basketball days.

Good grief the Phoenix lineup is terrible. This game with Utah for that last playoff spot has been a pillow fight so far. Neither team looks like they have the stuff to even take the Spurs to 5 games. Utah is playing terrible for them right now, though.
Ill put any money u want the Jazz will take the Spurs to at least 5 games
