just got back from the spurs game. it was very fun to watch, but oh so frustrating. i'm way too tired to write a novel, so i'll give you the bullet points... (get it? bull et points

)
-noah is the goofiest mofo this side of matt bonner, and his shot might be even goofier than that.
-derrick rose is pointlessly good, even without the refs blowing their whistle every time the A/C kicks on inside the building.
-the bulls are definitely the new hipster team to bandwagon on. there is absolutely NO WAY there was that many illinois transplants in that building. unpossible.
-tim duncan has still got some juice left. there was a few minutes there when he decided to have his way down in the paint and he took what he wanted. i'm not saying he can do it all game, every game in the playoffs, but the playoffs is a team effort and a war of attrition, and i can't think of a better guy to have on your team.
-popovich needs to hang up the clipboard soon. he looked like he was going to bust a capillary screaming at the refs tonight.
-manu is a nightmare matchup for almost every team, but kawaih leonard would have been a workhorse tonight if he was healthy. the only guy on that team who could have possibly guarded him was rose who was preoccupied with TP9.
-if something happens to the thunder, my non-homer pick in the west is definitely the spurs. this team easily rolls ten deep. even on a night like tonight when they couldn't hit the broad side of simplebays mother, they still kept the reigning MVP and his band of goons within striking distance.
i really think they've got a chance to make some noise one last time before duncan sails off into retirement. i'm just hoping they can lock down the number 2 or 3 seed and avoid the thunder until as long as possible.
