Green and Kawhi need to eat all of his minutes. I know Pop will never do that because it would reflect badly on the organization. But I truly believe we are a better basketball team without him playing.

This was a terrible trade, giving up Jefferson and a 1st round pick for Jackson??? The guy is so injury prone, and just as bad as Jefferson!!!

Jackson is an upgrade over RJ at both ends. But this trade was financially driven more than anything else. Yea it sucks to lose a 1st round pick. But look at what the Spurs really need, a big. How many good big men are drafted at the end of the first round (even if you put them on ice for years overseas?). The Spurs are better off going after someone in free agency when Tim's contract comes off of the books.

People just don't understand. This trade saved Peter Holt and the Spurs in the neighborhood of 12 million. The fact that we got a player in SJAX who has been here before is just a plus. This move was based solely on roster management and flexibility.

ding ding ding. Richard Jefferson has missed 2 games in the past 4.5 seasons. Stephen Jackson has missed 29 games the past 2 seasons alone. dude is unreliable.
and lets look at their stats the last 2 years:
Jefferson
10.1ppg, 3.7rpg, 45% FG, 43% 3ptFG, PER 11.8
Jackson
14.5ppg, 3.8rpg, 38%FG, 31% 3ptFG, PER 9.25
Stephen Jackson is exactly what the spurs don't need. a streaky scorer, who needs the ball in his hands, getting older and lazy on defense, less efficient, and hurts their salary cap next year more as they surely were going to amnesty Jefferson.
not what the spurs needed. They shouldve gone after DJ Augustin. something that actually could've helped.
