Think we were gonna sign 5-6 this summer if qualified for either EL/CL. The question was always gonna be about the quality/age of those signed. Im guessing we sign 2 starters and then everyone else will be young, relatively inexpensive gambles like we did last summer. Think we also see several academy guys getting minutes in cups & EL group stages and then possibly going on loan in Jan.

Dont think he would be the best option but if the price was right I wouldn't be terribly upset if we went with Eddie & DCL as our ST combo next season. There are sexier options but I think those 2 could be strong rotational complements to one another.

I thought most of the year 4th-8th was razor thin and teams could finish in any order. Turns out Arsenal and Spurs were clearly better than the rest and end up grouped with Chelsea in the second tier behind the top 2.

In a fitting end to their season, United lose on the final day and back into the Europa League as West Ham also lose and are stuck in the Conference League after not being able to handle the fixture pile up late in the season.

Frustrating end to the season to see ol Spuds land above us when a couple winnable dropped matches made the difference, but...5th isn't bad at all for where we're at. We have some young guys who are still developing and will show improvement and we have some dead weight that needs shoving off. I think this season showed that we are a few minor adjustments away from being a solid team. Summer really needs to go our way. Problem is I think we al care a lot more than Stan does.

Given our enjoyment and knowledge of the sport this might seem a little obvious, but I think next season we need to focus on scoring more goals.
