Terrible defense. Deserved to get scored on but I guess we saved all of our positive VAR reviews for this game.

To be fair, Pepe would have never been in that positionPJYoung said:Ag Since 83 said:

Should've been Pepe
White does it again. WTF did he start backing off Richarlison and give him all the room in the world to set up Iwobi???????chjoak said:
WTF have our defenders been backing off of the ball carrier the entire half. Haven't challenged them at all. Just give them all the space in the world.
No doubt the players -- looking at Auba mainly -- spurn their chances and bear some responsibility for the failure. Bigger problem is it seems this team really struggles to create those chances, which has been consistent under Arteta.Ag Since 83 said:
That's the amazing thing about Arteta. As bad as this style of play looks sometime, you look at the chances Eddie and Auba miss there and you say "what else do you expect the manager to do?"
I'm not saying he has to go but I wouldn't make an argument to keep him at this point.chjoak said:
I'm very back and forth on Arteta. I think he has a good understanding of the game and solid tactics but his lineup/sub decisions are suspect at times and he can't seem to get the team to do the right things when it counts. In a matter for just a couple of weeks we have gone from a strong run of games where we looked like we could finish top 4 to the last 3-4 games were we look like we should finish 8-10 range at best.
I don't think that is how Arteta wants them to play either. They talked about that on Arseblog and how he was trying to push the guys forward and they just sat back anyways.wangus12 said:
I also don't understand why every ****ing time we get a 1-nil lead, we decide to simply stop playing. We just sit back, invite pressure and pray to hold on
