He was having a really good loan, fell off a bit after getting injured on international duty, and then bounced back a bit at the end.

While his goal and assist numbers weren't huge, he actually tried passes in the final third that nobody else on this team does. Not a bad price given the alternatives

Also, he scored against Spurs

35M is an absolute bargain. No brainer. Excited to see a Lineup with him in the 10 with ESR on the Left and Saka on the Right. They should all be able to switch and overlap constantly. Not bad. Need a competent striker and a Xhaka replacement badly. Doubt either of those happen this window though. Would love to see us try and get a loan with option/obligation to buy for Aouar.

Xhaka probably comes off the bench when Partey gets healthy.

I honestly disagree especially after the inevitable contract extension being reported. It will be Xhaka-Partey I have a feeling. I think Lokonga was brought in as cover for Partey originally with the expectation of buying another CM for Xhaka when he was sold to Roma. Lokonga could start in place but they are different players and Arteta loves him some back passing xhaka.

Strategy was correct lol. Arteta sitting there thinking. These sons of *****es won't get me all my players. We'll throw the Brentford match. They'll have to let me do something then.

As long as the UK doesn't force him to quarantine, he could play this weekend against Chelsea

Immediately as in Sunday, probably not. I'd be surprised if he doesn't get a league start right after the international break. If things go well, I'd bet he is the #1 by Halloween.

Yeah you can't fault the Kroenke's much on this one...its either Arteta or Edu/front office co at this point

Unless he has had a change in heart on his desired position/role, I don't know that he will be the long term solution but considering no one is offering any kind of fee, he may be our best bet RB this season.

Definitely seen Covid rumors or at least contact tracing for Auba & Laca, but nobody really knows. No idea on Saka.

DiMarzio says that Juventus is shopping McKennie. Not sure how he would fit with Arteta but I would love him at Arsenal. Wonder if they are looking for just cash or willing to trade? Didnt they want Bellerin not too long ago?

My understanding is that they cant move Ramsey or Rabiot becUse of salary so they are sacrificing McKennie to make room for Locatelli.

Not a like for like for Xhaka but could technically replace him. Based on his past I could see him functioning equally well as a b2b or a Kante style mobile #6.
