I've finally crossed the $100M mark for the first time. Made some decent money about what I expected on most with a few pleasant surprises. Still more to sell. But the bigger money guys are gone.
Its hard not to spend it for sure.

As for season, I've squeezed a coulpe 0-0 ties somehow. I'd be ashamed if I was the Div3 team losing to my half developed scrubs.
That said, I should be well positioned for a return to Div4 next season assuming one of my 2 blooming goalies hits a couple more important hand and reflex skill pts.

Still looking for reasonable top talent for low prices. So far only a few 14-15 guys. The TL is all over the place, but rarely does a top player slip by cheaply.

Well I may have gotten my team lined out. I lost my first game of the season 2-1, then messed up and sent too many guys down to my B-squad and forfeited 3 games. I came out and won my last game 3-0, to get out of the cellar and move up to 14th.

I am a little worried about money at this point though. I think I have enough to make it 9 more weeks, but either need to start selling out again (I lost ~250 fans during my losses) or unload a youth prospect. I don't think I have anyone who will collect much right now. I do have a DR who I am now projecting as a 10k ASI player and he is 19. He would be the highest rated defender I have ever had so I don't want to get rid of him, but want to be able to keep my TG/YD at their current level.

I didn't know that you have to forfeit 3 games for that mistake, harsh.

You only have to forfeit games where you can't fill a lineup. Since I sent everyone down at once I ended up with nobody to bring up, and they are tied down for 3 games once you move them.

It's probably worth signing a super cheap guy from the TL or promoting someone from your youth rather than straight up lose 3 games.

I upgraded my youth and TG too fast when I was at earlier levels, 5/5 or 6/6 is about as high as you should be before div 3 IMO.

yea, you could have signed guys literally for $1 to cover spots in the future.

I'm at YD7/TG9 and was not struggling too much with it even early at Div.4

But you really have to budget your end of year money and not use it for players. I signed alot of 24-26 yr olds for $1-4M guys with well placed skills that got me to Div3, though I'm now selling many of them now that they hit 28-29yrs. Luckily after 2-4 seasons, they have grown and earning me more money.

I've been pondering going up to YD/TG 8-9 or 7-10, but I know it will just eat more money.
The biggest difference for me know is not only finding guys that can play in Div3, but also figuring out how to budget their much larger salaries. Also, there seems to be a big difference in finding solid players for D4 and players that can succeed in D3 and up.
Most players that can succeed in D2 and up and WELL known, thus none go for cheap. At least from my vision at this point. Every good player will cost pretty big money or he's not worth it. Noone falls through the cracks, certainly not the USA players.

Hmmm, I need new strategies.

Wow pulled out a 1-0 win in the 95th minute to take a 4 point lead in my league. This is also with my best player hurt. I really didnt think i would do this well in division 4 but have only allowed 4 goals in 7 games.

He's been in that league with a good friend of mine for several seasons (FC Mantle who just promoted out of 4.21 last season). He does seem to have a lot of high ASI players but hasn't been able to put it all together for some reason.

he could just be selling off youth players to bank cash and train up his favorite u22s until he gets a team ready to push through a few divisions in consecutive seasons. then he can pick up a couple of real good players off transfer wire and make that team real solid.

I'm game for Texags 3.0, but after selling alot of veterans my team is less hearty than it was last season. If we get 3.0 going please invite me. I think it would be pointless to play a major league team however. I don't think 1836 or I would benefit from that thrashing. lol

I'm 0-4-3 so far. I got close to winning a game when I had a 1-0 lead and they got a red, but after the red they scored to tie it. Bummer. Gonna be a tough go. I'm losing by 3 goals to the upper teams but going even with middle down teams. Since I'm starting an unfinished blooming GK, I think they are doing good.

Yeah, America's Chelsea is tearing up our group. I've spent a few seasons with him. I'm actually 2-1-1 against him, even winning 5-0 last season. I'm not sure where the spark came from.

I almost had my first D3 win tonight. They scored to tie in LITERALLY the last second. The game tracker said they scored, then hit the showers a half second later. Very frustrating.
I intended not to care if I got demoted and how I performed because surviving D3 was not gonna happen. But this is ridiculous. Twice now I've watched my lead vanish in the last minute of the game. Ugh.

Wow, I hadn't seen that, that's his first serious injury (he had like a two game knock once before). What's weird is I can't figure out where he got hurt, he didn't play in this match and he was fine after his last match as far as I can tell?

crazy that fc cape may can spend a bill on a player and still have a rich economy.

how many players on your 1st team do you guys typically keep on the books? i've been picking up a lot of injuries lately and may need to transfer or fire some guys that don't play much to replace my injured players.

also, at my level, should i invest in the medical center and physio room? this is my 1st full season and i'm in division 5.36.

You should do a little physio, but not much medical building. I think mine is at 1. Its very expensive with reported little effect. You are in D5 I assume and few stadiums are fixed up properly, so you'll have injuries, nothing you can do about it. But so will everyone else.

If no one else wants to do it, I'll set up the TA Cup 3.0. It'll only be open to teams with PRO though. I'll put together the league and send out invites to those teams who've posted on the last few pages. Let me know if you want to be included and haven't already posted.

NOTE: If we have eight teams in the FL, we can only do one leg, but if we have just 6 teams, we can do two legs. Any preference?

I would but I've got another FL I'm involved in.

I'm about to list a VERY good FC for sale, he's about to turn 25 and just finished bloom (late blooming 16-17*) and is just under 75 trexma at around 15k ASI. Scored 20 goals in division 4 and 16 in division 3 while blooming, he's a really good player I'd keep if I hadn't just picked up a new FC. I'm going to list him today or tomorrow and expect him to sell in the 150m range, but if anyone wants to put in a bid to get the 10% advantage let me know:
