Yea Geo, I don't know why DMCs get a bad rap. I've been snagging a few unbloomed ones for very little on the TL. Unfortunately I also got 2 good ones from my YD, so now I'm overrun with them. lol

I've run a few offbeat formations in Div4-1. I have used an OML all season and though he doesn't have great crossing, he has 18finishing and is only about 3500 at age 21. He's scored a bunch for me this season and had a good career so far. Opposite him I have a MR, so its unbalanced and that guy is a semi-stud at 16000 asi. Up the middle, I've gone multiple ways. I had an OMC, MC, DMC lineup alot early this and last season. But I noticed my 2 OMC with a MC lineup produced more. And since have climbed into the race. I also used a 2 OMC and DMC lineup awhile when my 1 MC got hurt for 6 games. Most of these guys are only in the 4000 asi range, but must be covering well for each other. I sold the old 8000asi DMC and brought up a young OMC that is finishing blooming now at around 4200asi. He's got less passing(12) but better scoring(13-12) numbers than the (19)passing guy I benched. He just got Man of the Match-10 last game over the no.2 team propelling me back into second place. Woohoo
But for all this, I think the tilted lineup is putting extra pressure on defenses. Alot of Div4-1 run attacking schemes and I sit at normal no matter who's in there. My backline is solid for Div4, but just a bunch of 4000+ asi guys.
My biggest problem is my 16000 asi lone striker has been less effective lately and he about to turn 31. I've hoping he has a few more good games to get me promoted. He's been giving my alot of 3-5 ratings lately. I have a 19*rated F to bring up mid next season, so I think I'll be OK down the line.

My thinking is that my OML and 2 OMCs put alot of pressure in the left quadrant while playing 'some' D and helping to control things on that half of the field. My DL is pretty sturdy too, so he can eat up some of the gap in front of him left by the OML. I also think just having steady guys everywhere is helping in Div4. I have few stars, just 2 over asi 6000 (both were original players for me) and the goalie at 11000. So with no real drop offs, they play a more even game. I've also wondered if going towards spending money on a few studs may actually hurt things. Then you have a few holes at other positions and the mediocre guys can't play with the studs. So maybe that actually lowers the value of the studs. When I win, I have a wide range of MoM guys. Only a couple have 3 and none have 4 or more. And a few games the other team got MoM when I win, which I admit is irritating.

I managed to win my final league game securing for myself dead last in 4.26!!!

I also failed to meet a single goal (will I get any money to start the new season?)!!!

Anyway, I too am up for another go at a TexAgs FL.

Well my banned teamed ended up in 2nd place for promotion to 3rd div. Crap.


Now I am patiently waiting to see how things go with the move up to Div 5 and just getting cash and finding my coaches. Once I got enough of both, then I plan to start making some TL moves to get young talent and build up my team. I figure it will be ready in about 2-3 seasons to be competitive.

I pulled into second place by 1 point with 3 games to go and having a nice ending schedule.

Another season at Div4.
I intended to change over alot of my older roster while getting hammered at Div3 and making good money in the sales and larger gate money, but now I just have issues.

Some older guys I can use for another season and maybe weasel into the 3rd division. Or just finish the rebuilding now, its almost complete.

Good to know is alot of my youth is finally getting ready to pay me on the TL. I finally have a legit starter and some good youth at most positions. So I finally get to make decisions on whether my youth is ready to replace a guy that I can sell for good money.

Sorry on the near miss, and that really sucks gaslaw. It'll be interesting to see how much faster you can get competitive now that you know what to do though.

As per my guys, Kairos FC made up 6 points the last 3 matches to win 4.19, scored 63 while only allowing 16. 3.7 here we come.

I've got an OMC/FC out for sale that might be of interest to some Div 4/5 clubs or even some Div 3 guys, he's done blooming and isn't a star but played very well for my B team last season at OMC in Div 5 and has a nice post-bloom TI (2.8-4.4 with most in the high 3/low 4 range).

hey guys, anyone have a good site or forum post that shows the best way to set up the facilities. I need to start getting close to maximizing revenue. I'm at that point, where things are getting painful but I know I'm not maximizing.

I have 8000 fans. What should things like toilet and parking be. I have my seating at 17K, should I up that any? I should be top 6 in my Div4 group. I had alot of rainy games last year that really ate into my income. Is that luck of the draw or have they done this to eat up some cash in the game?

I hate dumping so much money in facilities like restaurant. How quickly do I get my return on my money from something like this?

I like using trophymanager.info. The toilet and parking gives you a 2.5% boost at each level, and food etc. has a maximum servicable. I think for 8k fans you need ~17k-20k seating with food/merch shop at level 5.

so i have been lurking on this board for awhile with the world cup coming and i thought i would give this game a shot. I was wondering if yall could give me a couple tips to starting out.

Get your team and read the manuals and other basic stuff and gather as much basic information as possible. Then read this entire 52 page thread. Seriously just skim it, but there's nuggets hidden everywhere.

Then play for a full season and begin to realize that you need more help to progress from there. It takes 2 full seasons to get the hang of progressing. You should be able to get to Div4 in a couple seasons at least with general soccer knowledge. After that, you'll need to learn alot about managing your finances and figuring how to secure players that fit your style, etc.

Sold that 20* FC tonight for $250 million. Thought I got a pretty good deal for him and will put that money into investing in some quality young players I scour from the TL over the next few months.

Plus I pulled two DCs the other night: one 15* and an 18*.

CDub, the guy that ripped you 5-1 is a good friend of mine, he JUST missed promoting to Div 3 last season and has a really good squad.

Been ok in Div 3 so far, a lot better teams overall but my guys are competitive. Interesting that of the last 4 teams to promote from my Div 4 league, one went straight to Div 2 and the other three of us currently sit 3-4-5.

Wow, what prompted that? Surely there were deserving teams at Div3 that should have gotten that spot.

Sorry, to clarify he went from Div 4 to Div 2 in two seasons. He'd been relegated from Div 2 two seasons before in the old ME.

His squad is pretty fantastic and huge ASI-wise, Terriers FC (think he's in 2.3 now).

I want to try a couple guys out that are close to being ready. Make for a week later since one of the guys I want to try is hurt for 2 games.
