I thought there was talk of it going out by the HSC on 47? I guess that went away. Probably a little cheaper to build it on 29th anyway.

I thought the university was going to let the county build an ME's office on that corner. Unless I'm thinking of another project
The medical examiner site moved away from HSC as the property they were will to donate had soil issues. The new property by St Joseph's I believe will house BC911 and the medical examiner's office.

I didn't know S J donated the ME property. Can't see how that would work. It is their land and they had it listed for years. Had a sale to a multifamily project deep 6'd by the neighbors a few years ago. I will be waiting to see an analysis on the cost for ME services over the next 5,10,15,20 yr with that vs what it would cost to continue contracts w Austin, or one with the new one in Conroe would cost. But I'm not hold on my breath. It will also be interesting to see how much business from the BVCOG counties goes to Conroe instead of Bryan. I'm sure they are banking on capture of 100% of it in Bryan.

There was a dry cleaning at the other end, but not sure if that is still there. Across the street is a church. Behind gas station is the library. 1.8 million is a long way from a donation. I really couldn't figure how St J could donate it anyway as a non profit … would require some demonstration of value that I could not figure …..

A non profit can donate to another organization as long as it advances the purpose of the non profit.

CS council approved zoning changes at NorthPoint Crossing for the majority of the retail space to be converted to residential. It should lead to around 80 new units at the property.

I know it has been there a while, but I went into Postal Plus today to drop off a FedEx package. Y'all that is one of the cutest places in town. It reminds me of like a Hallmark store, they have kitchen stuff and they have tons of Christmas decor. They have Aggie stuff, first communion stuff. This is a whole store that you can go buy neat things and gifts for. I will definitely be back.

She is most likely talking about the new one down the hill from Tower Point HEB. It's in the strip center right across from Drew's car wash. And I agree with what she said - they have all sorts of cool decorations and knick knacks in there! I really want that place to make it - it's so convenient to drop off any package (UPS, FedEx, USPS, they take it all.) Now that you can't drop off at the UPS center on the bypass I'm always looking for drop off spots. The De Baca steakhouse is coming along at Tower Point and it looks like it is going to be pretty impressive. That looks like a nice outdoor porch I hope and it is facing College Station… should be a very nice view.
Overlooking the scenic detention pond of Tower Point….. it actually is a cool design and I look forward to it. Glad I'm not paying for it. Looks like expensive construction.
