No sir... Not AZ. I drew an archery FAD tag for unit 30 NM (Fork Antlered Deer).

However, Ive been researching the AZ otc archery tag and I'm still thinking about heading to 35B... Around the Patagonia Mtns, before end of Jan.

Just finished this one. Great read. Dude owns rokslide in part.


I just started this one and I'm blown away after 15 pages. Awesome.

Really looking forward to this book... It was written in '85.

I believe Dwight Schuh is now in his late 60s... And he's still a badass. Look him up.

Very nice buck and in my hometown too! It amazes me with the number of y'all that hunt around Mason. Absolutely awesome country. I'm on a different ranch these days but I always enjoy hunting there.

thanks! Grew up in Orange, TX, but I love Mason. My dad got on a lease about 25 years ago and we've been going ever since. We were finally able to purchase about 90 acres near the Long Mountain community about two years ago. Absolutely love the new property and all the wildlife. I'm glad my children will have a chance to experience and hunt multiple areas of TX.

Yes! I am awake and in a tree stand in Lee County! 46 and a light north wind. I didn't QUITE get up at 3:30 but I was in the stand by 6.

Robby recommends Schuh in his own book. He also discusses Kurt Darner in some detail. Very interesting.

Whereabouts near the Long Mountain Community? My family has 2-3 thousand acres on the Long Mountain Road that produces some excellent deer.

Put a 4" gash in the sidewall of a tire this morning. About to head to the stand in Bell Co.

Saw a pretty decent 8 yesterday that I couldn't get a shot at. Hoping to see him again.
