Somebody was talking about this former 1st round OT we just picked up. They brought up Marc Columbo.

Hadn't thought about that guy in a very long time. But I suppose it's worth keeping in mind that sometimes... not very often, but sometimes these things do work out and you end up with a guy that can play.

I do have a lot of sympathy for those guys from the standpoint of what many of them deal with as far as pain.

I was just talking about this today with the buddy of mine, we don't even watch the cheerleaders when we're at the games. I honestly do not know why there are cheerleaders at any football games at any level.

I get why it's done in HS, it's a popularity thing and part of the HS ritual and they compete in cheer competitions but I wouldn't miss them in the NFL if they just disappeared and Dallas has the best of them. They are completely irrelevant to me.

I have a soft spot for the Cowboys Cheerleaders do to one being very nice to me when I was a 17 year old kid. Quick story, so me and my friend went to the Cowboys vs 49ers on a Sunday late 80s when we were terrible. The next day, I worked at the Sunglasses Hut at Six Flags Mall and they were there doing some appearance and on my break, I ran into the one from the night before and she remembered me. We ended up having l
A meal together and it gave me the ultimate cred at the mall.

Football is for men. That means pretty girls dancing around on the sideline is perfectly fine.

It also means men shouldn't be dancing on the sideline.

It also means women shouldn't have an opinion on the presence of cheerleaders, or the football for that matter.

Don't have any issue with that statement from Romo, and frankly it's hard to blame these guys for self medicating later in life. I'm sure he hurts all day every day.

I get that.. and I get the dance teams.. because it gives women something feminine to do...

But between the cheerleading outfits, the dance team outfits, the volleyball girls outfits.. I remember they were skimpy as **** and as sexual as possible while I was in HS.

I'm not a prude, or anyting like that, but you wonder why there is this super pedophile issue with our people... Maybe it's because we're sexualizing the hell out of our girls at super young ages and grown as men are around it all the time.

I always preferred the royal blue away uniforms from the 70s. At least they do not have an AT&T patch or any other corporate sponsorship…..yet

I'm a fair weather BBall fan and this was the first year in a long time that I started watching again (because of the Spurs). I was shocked to see the massive advertisements on the uniforms.

Totally acceptable practice.... for youth city league teams!!!!!!

Agree.

I was listenting to The Ticket and Coby was going on about how he doesn't buy that because Romo plays too much golf to be 'debilitated'.


I get where he's coming from but pro athletes are just different. You can't compare us normal folks to those guys.

I think we know all there is to know. Milton is not very good. He had a couple of good preseason games, but by all accounts hasn't been good in camp overall. He's a practice squad kind of player. Other teams around the league already have their practice squad guys.

Eh, I understand the comments. I'm a big Romo fan so it's interesting that I too got hung up on the "debilitating" comment... I liked his statement overall, but I think that part was pushing it a bit too far.

The whole thing seems a bit overblown to me. Romo made a very bad judgement call and I'm grateful law inforcement did their job and made the arrest. That should be the end of it. If Romo wasn't famous he'd simply deal with the legal side of things in private.

I don't think it was necessary for CBS to can him. Seemed unecessary unless Romo has made a habbit of drinking on the job and they just had enough. Who knows and I guess we'll see how it plays out.

Tons of older men play golf in pain all the time. At some point in life you just accept that if you wanna do fun physical activities it's gonna hurt and you do them anyway.

My grandfather spent the last 10 years of his life in severe daily back pain but up until a couple years before he died he could still play 18 holes with us using a cart.

There is a difference between older men who just grew old through work and life and men who played long careers in the NFL and had multiple injury issues. You don't even need to get to the NFL to have your body wrecked by football. Lots of college players are in their 40's and getting around is difficult for them.

Heck, even ex HS football players, especially the try hard white boys who never backed down (like me).

After his freshman season my son asked me if it would be OK to stop playing because his body was starting to hurt... I told him "Absolutely, love you and I'm proud of you son".

I like Tony, but there is chatter that some CBS execs have been looking for a way out with him for a while. They resent the way he held their feet to the fire with his first big contract negotiation
