I've watched enough of Bob that it's pretty clear he worked at Area 51 and saw the things he claims to have seen. Also, the surveillance and scrubbing of some of his data seems plausibly true as he reports. So, I'm left with two likely explanations:

1) It's real
2) The US created a fake scene for Bob (and a few others) and then let him go as a Psy-ops to convince our enemies we have technology they can't defeat as a deterrent. Bob was the only one of the dupes to go public, but that was enough to complete the purpose. The Roswell thing was not a weather balloon, but other secret experiments and the first cover story of being aliens was stupid, so they changed it. But this got them thinking about the value of such a story "escaping". So, all the people claiming to have "talked" to people with first-hand knowledge (but never first-hand evidence) are also being duped in a similar way.

#2 seems a stretch that such a psy-ops could be maintained by so many over such a long period of time without it being fake getting out, that it seems almost as unlikely as #1. So, I give it a 50/50 at the moment.

I think it's because the most rational, easy to believe explanation is the easiest one. Especially in light of the current disclosing/confirmation of info-evidence regarding the reality.
