There is possibly life on Mars and we put it there.

Some very versatile microbes (mostly bacteria) could have hitched a ride on the handful of rovers we've plopped down up there. They're not sure if they would have been able to survive for any amount of time or reproduce, but many scientists contend that some of our tiniest earth creatures could have made the trip and possibly adapted and are still hanging out up there as the first earth creatures to inhabit the Red Planet.

It's actually crazy interesting. NASA goes to great lengths to essentially "clean" the vessels and bake the hell out of the equipment so the microbes are exterminated and can't make the trip as stowaways. But those little bugs are clever and adaptive and it's been estimated that as many as half a million spores of various bacterium manage to make those journeys.

Whether they survive or not is tough to determine, and I can't imagine why it would even matter. The second a human steps foot on it and tries to plant a lemon tree or some **** in some space greenhouse thing, there will be hundreds of trillions of microbes introduced, so the few pioneering bugs will be pretty irrelevant.

But it's still fascinating to a nerd like me.

Evidently, even sites such as this are sensitive about the subject. Which is sad. The reason for that is probably as profound as the subject itself. Why would a thread on the et subject be locked? We have multiple/duplicate threads on the same (covid, biden) subject here, so that can't be it. Its very political, so that can't be it. It most certainly is related to world views which effects political views. I'm stumped...next.. Course, the subject may very well be so troubling, it's just easier to eliminate any mention of it?

I think we all have built in psychological defense mechanisms that are triggered by the thought of the subject. The symptoms often include off hand remarks, responses that don't address the subject...written giggling,on and on. Who knows.

Many astronauts are aware of much of this and more. Remote viewing targets/projects involving the moon confirm much of this. The big conspiracy theory involving our first landing on the moon was not that we didnt go...it was the "welcoming party" located on the crater rim as we descended and eventually landed.
