Does anyone recall the status of Logan and Marcia's relationship?

I remember her being pissed about something in episode 9 of S2. I think about Rhea?

I found it interesting Kendall's assistant mentioned her as a possible target for them to reach out to. I would think there's no way she betrays Logan, but I can't recall how strained that relationship is.

Super random observation, but anyone else notice how Naomi did not seem the least bit apologetic about the wine?

Makes me wonder if she did that on purpose.
could be, or it could just be the show further indicating that the super rich just really don't care about stuff like that. she saw a bottle of wine that she wanted, so she took it.
This is my thought, she's a sociopath, they're all sociopaths. None of them care about anything other than themselves. It didn't register to her as wrong, so there's no remorse.

On a side note when Rava yelled about it being dusty I immediately thought it meant there was cocaine residue all over it, not that it was old.

Up in the air. She didn't join them on the yacht at the end of season 2. Logan asked Kendall specifically about Marcia. And yes, IIRC giving CEO to Rhea was the straw that broke the camel's back, although Marcia was already upset about how Logan was cutting her out of decisions.

In the first or second season one of Logan's goons described Kendall as having all of the shots, but no idea when to take them. He couldn't have been more on brand than when he hires the dream team PR team, and tells them what to do.

Hot take: Cousin Greg's "evidence" is going to be incoherent papers that he copied at random, and point to absolutely nothing and/or no one.
I would hope that Kendall actually reviewed what they had before he pulled this move and mentioned having documents.

You would hope he did, but this is Kendall Roy.

Also, Logan slept with Rhea, and Marcia confronted her about it. Between that and Marcia feeling like she was being cut out/treated like one of the kids when it came to the business, she basically peaced out. I'm sure we'll see her again, but I consider her and Logan to be separated at this point.

This might be totally irrelevant at this point, but she has as one who was placed in some high level position in Europe at the end of season 1. More likely I imagine she has a list of secrets that she will lord over Logan in their upcoming divorce.

i did notice that Lebanon was one of the non-extradition countries listed as a possibility and immediately thought of Marcia

I thought about that as well. Her character sort of intrigues me. In season 1 she seemed to be pulling a senile Logan's strings, but then she was rendered irrelevant in season 2. Part of me wonders if she's about to get Mandy'd (blue parachute for anyone who gets that) but I think this show is too smart to have a characters storyline simply run out of steam.

It wasn't explicitly stated, but the kids had a convo about it and basically came to that conclusion since Rhea was still there the next morning.

Awesome episode. The four siblings in one room is always some of my favorite stuff and they gave us like thirty minutes of it.

It's crazy how quickly the alliances are shifting, even within a single episode.

I do love how Ken is clearly winging this thing and not even listening to his lawyer. So they're planting the seeds for an epic collapse for sure.

Very interested to see what Tom and Greg will do. I think Greg is the dark horse here for being what brings down Logan.

The one thing that amazes me is how Shiv doesn't see how easily Logan manipulates her. She has to see through what he's doing right?

I'm thinking I'm going to like it more as I think about it. It's so different than a regular TV show where everyone articulates their feelings perfectly. Lots of short sentences, stutters, and things not said.

I thought Ken had them for a moment, then it all fell apart. Not sure if the donuts were a factor, but it certainly reminded them that their dad still has smarts and power.

Shiv wants her dad's love and approval so much that she doesn't see what he's doing, or at least refuses to believe it.

Sadly, nobody's on Greg's side. He was actually smart to want his own lawyer, but Gramps can't be trusted either.

It was so riveting to see how the alliances were going to shake out, and to do it all from his daughter's bedroom was perfect. What I love is that they've all heard each other out now, everyone knows everyone's position, and the battle can truly begin. But you just know so much more sh*t is going to go down that sides and alliances will likely still shift multiple times.

And yeah, Greg being caught in the middle of it all could not be any more appropriate. They're definitely setting him up to be in some kind of pivotal position. But first, making him have to choose a lawyer, in just that way, was maybe the most hilarious Greg thing ever. Only for him to realize that his own grandfather is using him as well. So good.

Whenever her son was introduced and shown to be on the "payroll", I figured Marcia for a vulture just like everyone else in Logan's life.

I'm so glad that Marcia is back. To the previous question, she is absolutely untrustworthy. She's had an agenda to advance herself and her children, and now she has the leverage to make it happen. And she gets a formalized position in the Roy trust? Bring it on.

Logan is the man. He knows that he has to break heads to get out of this, and he has his mace ready. Send his son to jail? Do it for the family, Ken. Destroy his children emotionally? Emotions are for poor people. Team Logan is ready for this. Whether he wins or not, any victory against him is going to be Pyrrhic. Saddle the eff up.

Kendall... No. Just no. He has no chance. Even if his dad falls there's no way he wins and ends up CEO. Going to Stewy and Sandi was a catastrophic mistake. They'll cut some kind of deal with Logan before they back him. His siblings wouldn't back him because they realized that he's really just winging it, and they remembered that he's kind of a idiot.

As for the other siblings, I can't decide if Connor is being built up to do something bold, or if he will stay on brand and quibble about fine wine storage. Roman is setup as the one who will lose the least no matter what happens. He can't win, but he'll be alright. Shiv summed up his chances nicely when she burned him about his little issue. Speaking of Shiv is somehow the one Logan can manipulate the easiest. He knows exactly what buttons to press and when to press them.

For what it's worth I'm currently Team Logan. I've always wanted to read a book or watch a show where the bad guys just win and do so completely and unapologetically.

Great episode. Glad the majority of the episode was the four kids together talking on what they want.

Shiv - She wants to be the CEO but has no experience with the company. Like posters has mentioned, she wants her dad to notice her so bad.

Con - I don't see him ever turning on his dad.

Roman - Will go to whichever side holds the power.

Kendall - I just feel like his ego and himself will get in the way as always.

Marcia - Taking care of her and her kids for life

Greg - He had me so nervous the whole time. I was like don't open the door to that lawyer.

The donut scene freaked them out was so good.

so we're two episodes in and i think they've actually set the table for potentially any one of the kids ending up on either (or neither) side.

Shiv- she's already flip flopped twice in 2 episodes. we know logan will do or say something that pisses her off and when he does, she'll probably run to the other side again. i bet how logan treats tom could play a factor too.

Connor- he's the first to bow out of kendall's plan, but cites his political future and how killing his dad is a bad look. but what if his political advisors (or willa) tell him that taking down the corrupt logan is actually good for his campaign? would he flip then?

Roman- i'll be interested to see how he reacts when he learns that logan has set up gerri

Kendall- i think it'd be pretty funny if kendall actually gets the other three back over to his side, then logan bribes kendall again about the accident and they wind up teaming up and making tom the scapegoat. this whole season has been billed as logan vs. kendall, but what if they wind up on the same side?

the donuts were so great...even when he's not there, logan is always there

Awesome episode, sometimes I forget this show is at it's best when it's just straight up dialogue. The different locales can mask that from time to time, you can get distracted by them being on a yacht, a summer house, a boardroom, a hunting lodge, etc.

I loved the symbolism of the 4 kids talking about taking down their dad when they're all in Kendall's daughter's room. It wasn't subtle, but I appreciated it nonetheless.

The only character I have sympathy for at the moment is Greg. He doesn't get that no one is on his side, not Kendall, not Logan, not even his grandpa. The meeting with the attorney was hilarious, also crazy to see Boon from Animal House so old, the years haven't been kind. I have a small glimmer of hope that Tom is who ends up coming through for Greg.

With Kendall on one side right now, and all the siblings on the other Kendall is short on allies. He's gotta get some support, perhaps from Stewy and Sandy? I don't think Gerri was wrong when she said none of the kids comes out on top in this situation. I don't even think it's for her own preservation that she said it. Logan is never honest with the kids about their prospects, and perhaps no one is.

Who sent the donuts?

It was Tom.

I read in another post that Tom might have been the one to send the donuts. This blew my mind because it makes sense. My reasoning:

1. Logan didn't know where the kids were, which did strike me at the time but I just figured it was creative license or would be explained later. Kendall has no idea how Logan knows where they are, but doesn't want to seem spooked and ruin his pitch. However, Tom absolutely DID know.

2. In the episode recap when asked about the donuts, Brian says "Logan might not have even sent them" and laughs it off. This is available on HBOmax attached to the episode.

3. Tom is over Shiv's treatment of him, and rightly so. She has made it clear his value is primarily as her meat puppet. He doesn't know she pleaded with Logan to save his neck, and so he thinks she has abandoned him completely. He was also pissed she lied to him about where she was, again, and excludes him from the inner circle. He won't leave her because he enjoys being a Roy, but he might very well be trying to undermine her.

4. The tea party comment sounds much more like Tom than Logan. Logan is prone to rage and confrontation. Tom on the other hand, is more covert by nature. During the call with Shiv when she admits where she is, he is quietly seething with rage, but she is too preoccupied to notice.

5. In the final scene during the car ride, Shiv tells Logan "Thanks for the donuts", and a look of confusion crosses his face but then she quickly moves on. Then they cut to Tom in the front seat peering out from behind the head rest looking relived, likely because Logan didn't question the donut comment.

I'm convinced. Thoughts?
