How about a Top/Bottom 10? Or 11 in this case.Quote:
Metallica show in Dallas was LOUD. Great show. For
a bunch of guys in their fifties, they can still turn it to 11.

This. I can't confirm whether they bought them there, but there were a lot of people with them. (Surely not too many people would bring those from home though?)Your Mom And Them said:
I saw folks walking around at the Houston show with poster tubes. Not sure if they were bought at the show or not.

My ideal show would have to include
Disposable Heroes
Dyer's Eve
Spit out the bone
Shortest straw
Leper Messiah
Blackened
It will never happen but I can wish
i wish I got blackened instead of fight fire. I love the middle section of fire, but the verses to me don't come off good live. I could hardly distinguish what I was listening to.Junkhead said:
All the merch stands I saw were sold out of posters unfortunately. It was a nice surprise to hear Blackened. Wasn't expecting that. Even The Memory Remains was cool. Not my favorite song but it came off great live. Very weird to not hear Creeping Death or Whiplash though.
My first time to miss them in years, hard to make a week day show from Aggieland plus I didn't care for Book of Souls as opposed to Final Frontier. Report back please!Echoes97 said:
Iron Maiden tonight in Houston! \m/
Had great seats, and it was a good show. Seen Maiden many times, but always outdoors (Woodlands, Europe), so I was expecting better sound in the Toyota Center. However, the sound was kinda mediocre to be honest. Bruce's vocals were buried for a good portion of the evening.KidDoc said:My first time to miss them in years, hard to make a week day show from Aggieland plus I didn't care for Book of Souls as opposed to Final Frontier. Yup glad I passed this round. I cannot imagine them not playing Hallowed that is one of my all time favorite songs. Thanks for the update!Echoes97 said:Had great seats, and it was a good show. It was still great to see them live, and Adrian, Dave, Steve and Janick were excellent. Bruce was very good also. Set list was a little disappointing as there was a heavy dose of Book of Souls (I do like Speed of Light), and many favorites were jettisoned to make room. To give you an idea of what was *not* heard last night:
- 2 Minutes to Midnight
- Run to the Hills
- Flight of Icarus
- Aces High
- Hallowed Be Thy Name (I read something about a legal dispute)
- Can I Play With Madness
- Rime of the Ancient Mariner
And probably a few others I'm forgetting. Ended with Wasted Years, and as always it was great to see them live. Not sure how much longer Bruce is going to be able to keep up, he did look noticeably older than the last time I saw them (admittedly maybe 7 years ago give or take).

Ghost, who opened for Maiden, was pretty darn good as well. Loved the rendition of Cirice.
