Old Main, sure fire way to check to see if those signs are applicable. Wait until the winches are gone from the house and check the side door/back door and see if there are steps leading up to the door.

If there are steps like the front door, then it is a fraud.

One of the biggest myths around. Not everyone who qualifies for handicapped parking requires ramps & rails.

However, we do require ramps for all new handicapped sign requests. Under the new guidelines, these signs would not be approved.

What about filling the spot with something really heavy that can be delivered but can't be towed? I just saw the Lowe's ad today has 80 pounds sacks of concrete for about $2.80 a bag. Have 3 pallets placed in the spot. When the jig is up, just return it for all your money back. That's cheaper than buying a junker car.

There are stickers on the back of the poles. The signs are legitimate - the purpose they were obtained for is not. Anyone who doesn't believe me drive by anytime day or night (Driskoll between Westheimer and Fairview) - you will never see a car parked between those signs. Obviously there is no need for the signs. THERE SHOULD BE A NO POLE ZONE THERE! Maybe I'll cover the signs with a sticker that says Corvette Parking Only...

If anyone wants to visit we can assess the situation and then walk over to Firken & Phoenix for a pint.

Forget all this records request stuff. Just put a couple flaming bags of poo on their porch. Nothing says fun like knocking back a couple of brews and watching the scissor sisters do the flaming poo bag dance on their front porch. It won't help get the signs down, but damn it would be funny.

I wish we'd dropp all the sexual-orientation drivel. When I see a new post I get excited thinking we're getting more parking-space drama updates and it turns out to be some silly post about the neighbors' alleged sexual orientation.

Maybe they are old sisters who happed to be androgynous and mean as hell.
