Do you know of any discounts that I can use when purchasing an accessory? I already got the Moto Q 9c but I need a car charger.

How do you like the Q 9c? I am trying to decide between it and the Centro.

Was considering swithcing to Cingular from Verizon in a few weeks, but now considering this.

I don't know much about Sprint and their phones. Are all the Moto Q and other smart phones using 3G on Sprint now? Anyone know if the Q's are running Windows Mobile 6 on Sprint?

I've gotten used to the Cingular site finding these features.

Devastator,

SERO comes w/ Power Vision - does this include GPS component as well, which is in the Ultimate PV pack?

Is there a better time of day to call? Seems like during day since more experienced/savvy CS folks will be on and have a clue, but maybe at night as they may not challenge as much.

Awesome advice and continued support, keep it up. Thanks

Just an FYI, I used the email address on the first page, it let me order, but they gave me a plan of 200 minutes for $29.95, no data, instead of the Sero plan. I google a sprint.com email and had to call them and give this one instead.

I chose a random name off this list http://networxcontract.sprint.com/fedreps.html

I will say so far my experience with Sprint is AWFUL. First I went to activate the phone because that is what the instructions they send say to do, so I call the number they give, it is the wrong department. I have been transferred 5 times unsuccessfully today for various issues, all causing me to start over.

Once I got the plan swithed to Sero they said 4 hours until data worked. After over 5 I called, with more disconnects and 4-5 departments and I find out I need to setup something online, but their system is down until Sunday, so I have to wait two days to get the data portion to work.

I'm very close to cancelling, but will wait until Sunday and see what happens.

Anyone have the LG Rumor? Opinions? My wife is thinking about it instead of the Centro, because of the bigger keys.

Also, any chance of price match with Sprint corporate or with getting SERO through Best Buy? Best Buy has the Rumor for free and the Q 9c for $99, as opposed to $49 and $149 respectively on the SERO site.

I pretty sure if you call SERO over the phone and tell them that you woul like to get te LG Rumor and Q 9c for the best buy prices they will give it to you. ESPECIALLY if you are coming from another competitor.

Worth a shot at least!

Well I am a Sprint customer right now, but my wife is the primary account holder, with myself and my MIL as added lines. Do they have all three of our SSNs on their computers? Or do they just store the primary account SSN?

I plan on signing up for two new lines for my wife and I under my SSN as a new customer (both our contracts are up this month). Then trying to kill the old lines and move the numbers to the new SERO lines (using some advice that people have been successful over at SprintUsers.com). Even if I can't keep my number it's worth it to me to get locked into the SERO deal to lose my number.

So I just wonder if I call and give them my SSN if it will see if I am already a customer?

Also, the Q9c is FREE this week at Best Buy with instant rebates.

Also, as I understand it, you can exchange phones with no penalty within 30 days, is that correct?

I am considering getting a Q9c for me and a Centro for my wife, then using the 30 days to play with both and determine which I like best, then potenitally change the one I don't like for another of the other.

Jim01, the Q9c looks like a great phone, especially with the Windows Mobile 6 OS. Nice quick review, "The Moto Q 9c from Sprint features Windows Mobile 6 and features a new ultra-thin, extended battery standard. The battery does extend off the back of the Moto Q similar to previous extended batteries, but does offer 7.2 hours of talk time. Some noticeable changes from the Moto Q 9m include SprintTV and the Moto Q 9c is GPS enabled. The Moto Q 9c is geared towards the professional audience, so gone is the red casing accents of the Moto Q 9m replaced with a BlackBerry inspired silver."

As far as the account is concerned. They should only have the primary's SSN. You should have no trouble creating a new account under your name.

FYI, I order two new Centros and they got here Christmas eve. Yesterday my wife and I went to a Sprint store and we were succesful in getting our current numbers switched over to our new SERO phones without much problem at all, then we canceled our two current OOC lines.

In short, new Centros with SERO and got to keep our numbers

Update. I got my phone nunmber transfered to the new SERO phone when it was techincally 3 days before my contract was up. I was scared I would get an ETF, but I got the last bill for the old lines and for some reason they gave me $150 credit to that line plus a refund of some other fees and stuff for my line and my wifes line.

So the last Sprint bill for the old phones was actually -$180. My MIL is still on that account so no bill for her for about 4-5 months.

New Centros are working great

I just logged into my account the first time and they had me on a $40 plan with 450 minutes. I was pretty scared, but the woman I talked to was very nice and switched me to SERO immediately.

Is there a SERO department and, if so, what is their customer service number?

I love my new SERO plan, but have had to call Sprint every month since I opened it in October. When I signed up on the internet for the 500 minute/$30 plan, the confirmation email they sent showed the 500 min./$30 plan. However, every bill I've had charges me for the 1250 min/$49.99 plan!!!! Every month, I spent about 30 minutes with a rep who doesn't know how to transfer it over to the correct plan and they instead just credit me the $19.99 difference. Some genius finally got my wife's plan corrected, but my plan is still set up for the $49.99 plan we never ordered. It seems like there's a large disconnect between SERO and the regular customer service reps. I'd just like to talk to someone in the SERO dept. if it exists.

That said, we got a $469 rebate when I expected far less and we also got free unlimited texts and an add'l free 500 minutes on each phone for the trouble the above issue has caused. So far, it's been worth the savings.

NM on the above post. Account Services told me to call 1-866-508-5420, the Sprint Employee Retentions dept. Bonus - the guy was in VA and spoke ENGLISH!!!!

He said Account Services should have been able to correct the issue, but he took care of it. Only took a few minutes and I'm finally all taken care of. So nice when you get the people who actually care and make an effort.

OT a bit but, FYI if you get the replacement plan for a phone and lose it, you will have to specifically ask the replacement people for a NEW replacement phone or you will get a refirbished phone.

Their story is that they have refirb's on hand and want to get you a phone back in service asap so if you don't ask, or know to, you will get a refirb. If you want a brand NEW replacement phone that takes roughly a week longer, but they won't give you any trouble to get one.

I took advantage of the "get of the contract free card" and asked for a new contract, with SERO and 2 touch phones. I couldn't get them to budge on the price of the phones ($250, without mail in rebates), but I did get on SERO. It took 3 calls, with the last being to executive services (total disclosure, I'm still in P2K, not Ensemble). All in all, the CSRs were all pretty nice, even those that couldn't change anything on my account.

rustybbq99, send the rebate form anyways! My grandfather lost his phone so we got him a new one, had to pay more than a SERO discounted phone but I send in the rebate and now I am getting $100 back.

Send it in, you have nothing to lose. :-)

Will do - I went ahead and also got a phone for my mom, a Katana II, and put her on SERO. If she likes the phone, and doesn't want to exchange it, I'll be submitting the rebate form for all 3 phones.

BTW - here is the current rebate link.

**UPDATE**
This hasn't to do with SERO plans but Sprint is now offering UNLIMITED Family Plans for $95.

1) Plan exists, but only retentions can see it.
2) You must be in "Ensemble" to have this plan added.
3) The plan DOES NOT include the extras (internet/text/etc). Must add those on, however with some talking can be added for FREE.
4) $95 for two lines, each line additional per month.
5) You can NOT request to be moved to the new billing system. It has to happen on it's own.

People who are NOT calling from their sprint phones can dial 877-349-4413 to directly reach an operator. From there say you want to cancel your account and you will be transferred to retentions.

You can call and ask specifically for Plan FC2396.
