How long do you want to ignore this user?
Well, we've got the phones in and we've about used up our 30 minutes of trial time (that is BOGUS, try to evaluate a service provider in 30 minutes) and I'm leaning towards returning the equipment.

While Cingular is more expensive, the call quality if infinitely better. It appears GSM has CDMA handled easilly. It sounds like we're talking through tubes to each other on these Sprint phones. The tone of voice is not there and overall it's just very muffled. That's ashame because I really wanted the internet deal on the phone, I'm just not sure I can handle a 2 year contract with tin can & string call quality.

Are you sure it's 30 minutes and not 30 days?

Positive, when ordering through teh SERO online site, since Inphonics is the representative of the program, they get the phone back if you return it and it clearly states 30 minutes or 15 days, whichever comes first.

are you sure it is not the phones, I am on Verizon as of this post and they are CDMA (same as Sprint) and our call quality is great.

We're using two different types of phones, for them both to have the same problem would be odd.

It's just a very digital sound.

When i say digital, I mean like Max Headrum, not good clarity.

Dude…30 minutes?? Where are you reading that? Through Inphonics Return Policy you have 15 days to ASK for a return label then 30 days to return the phone. Then Sprint has a no question ask 30 day return policy for you that would mean the service. So always try to deal with Sprint not Inphonics. Like you experienced Inphonics sucks, but if you get SERO through the web you will have to get through them for the phone.
I don’t really understand your compliant with “quality” of the voice during a. That has nothing do to with Sprint. It is more with the phone. I have a Q and I remember the weirdest thing for me the first day was talking to a phone that was wide yet so freakin thin. Give it a day or two. If you still uncomfortable using the phone, then I would recommend calling Sprint (leave Inphonics as a last resort) and complain to them about the phone and they will hopefully exchange phones for you. Remind them you are still in your first 30 days. If you are still unsatisfied then call back to Sprint to cancel. I am sure they will try to offer you something else. Then most likely you will have to call Inphonics to return your phone.

I think word got out, they are not signing people to the SERO plan over the phone. The lady I just talked to acted appalled that I would ask about it over the phone and the other guy grilled me on where I heard about the plan.

McInnis, Here you can read their Return Policy.
Inphonics Return Policy
No where does it state 30 minutes of usage. Just what I stated before 15 days to ask for a return label and 30 days to return the phone. Where did you get that info?

Inphonics won’t know how many minutes that have used the phone and why would they even care. I will look more into it and see what I can find out. But I know many people that have exchanges phones through Inphonics within the first 30 days and they definitely had more than 30 mins on the phone.

Interesting…if you and Agec2008 are having problems to sign up over phone then something is up. I would look into this. However for both of you, I would then just sign up online. Then once you receive your phone and have your phone number call Retentions or e-mail ecare immediately and ask for the perks or things you would like. Being in your first thirty days is a great bargaining tool. I’ll help you.

I worked the system and got a Moto Q for free (with a 2 year contract of course)... I didn't go with SERO because I didn't need to. I'm paying about 5 bucks less now.

I love my Q. I got the unlimited data plan and use it with my work's Exchange account.
the enigma
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I see what you did there!

quick question, after I do this, is it better to call or email to try and get them to help with my early termination fee from Verizon? How would you go about that?
McInnis 03
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I called Inphonic, they're taking back the Katana and the wife is going to try the Red Razr.

I would call retentions first about that one, then if it doesn't work I would e-mail ecare.

AGEC2008
Yes you can port your number to a SERO plan from another carrier.

Everyone:

How long was your order "processing"? I wonder if it depends on whether or not you're already a Sprint customer...

How long do you want to ignore this user?
hey Dev, when ordering through the website with the email you gave I come to a part that asks if I want to port my number and I have to put in the account info from my current provider. How does that work if I still have a current account with Verizon. If I have to cancel my Sprint account will my number be lost?

I just ordered and now I have to work on Sprint to see if I can get "help" with my Verizon ETF. Wish me luck. Thanks for the reply.

Let me know how that goes. I'm on the phone with sprint right now verifying my acct info so they can ship my stuff out.

The Razr is great! Now I'm trying to conquer the $50 service credit and some free texting!

emailed ecare2.

I sent a duplicate email to ecare3 this morning to see if I get a different response.

Nice. I guess I'll see what happens.

McInnis 03
Did you port your number over from another carrier once you recieved your phone from Sprint?
McInnis 03
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I'm going to port, I haven't done so yet because I wanted to test Sprint before I committed to two years and ported. I'm also using the porting as a viable excuse to ecare to show them I haven't decided to commit to their service until they comp me some text messages!
devastor
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I'm glad yall are trying to get some perks. First trying caling then e-mail ecare. I go the 500 txt over the phone and the $50 service credit through ecare. Write the coupon code and what the coupon says in the email. Good luck.

Porting your number should be very simple if you are another provider. Folow the instructions in Post 1.

I'm having major problems finding a Kelloggs box with the rebate.

McInnis you don't need a Kellogs box! Just print the scan I have linked on the first page. That is all you need. That is what I sent in and no problems.
The only I had with that rebate was that "supposely" I didn't sent in the packing slip (which I did) but I had to call the rebate center and they fixed it and even expedited the shippment of the check.
