hey DEV,
did you say that the email you gave and the offer will be good till December? I had to cancel my order due to Sprint not being able to verify my credit since my contact info on my fraud alert is not current and it will take me at least two weeks to get that cleared up. thanks again.

Holy crap, this worked Devastator.

I got a phone for the wife free, got them talked down to 50 bucks for the military 7050 from Sanyo.

Got them to give me a year trial of power vision for 5 a month. Then got free everything and then called back and got the PowerUP50 added tot he phone. This on top of the 75 extra dollars I got credited to my account because I asked them which place I should go and get a phone and that I was confused.

My plan now is about 43 a month for as opposed to 85. WOW...just Wow.

U the man!

Ok so I have yet another question. I emailed sprint to ask about porting because they were suppose to port my old number onto the phone when I called customer service, but it shipped out with a new number. This is what they said

"As your phone was shipped and activated with the new numbers. As you want the old numbers to have ported, therefore once you received the phone please contact our customer service at 1-888-843-2485 so that they can provide you RMA#, so you can return the phone, therefore, we can port with the old number and send you the new phone. Please provide with all the porting details. However porting is possible between two different service providers."

So do I really have to ship the phone I will receive tomorrow back so they can activate and port my old number or can this be done by a phone call?

Thanks!

So they shipped your phone already activated? If they didn't that you should just be able follow the direction on my first page to port. If the phone is already activated that you have to deactivate it then port the number to the phone. I don't say why they don't do it over the phone. Wait until you get the phone and follow the directions on post 1, #8.

So it seems you will be saving 40 dollars a month and the first three months free because of all the credits. Good job!!

If you would like another $25 off due to a Referral, email me at rsoto04 @ gmail.com

Clear up your credit then open the account. Sprint has stated the SERO plan will be opening new accounts until Dec. 2007. Of course that could change. But as long as you don't wait too long you should be fine. Keep us posted.
the enigma

that is what I was planning but not until around November when we get into our new house. What about that email address that you provided? is that something that they change regularly?

Ok so one last question. Should i be able to send in for the rebates you posted if I got an instant 150 credit on each phone for signing up for another years? I guess I am just greedy. Thanks for the help on all of this.

Vero143
How long do you want to ignore this user?

AGEC2008 - They didn't port my number either. I just dialed *2 and talked to Tech Support, they gave me a number sequence to type in the phone and it was working a few hours later. No prob.

buildthehell02:

Fantastic. I take it that it doesn't matter that you use mins on the new number to dail *2... How did you know when it was ported?

When you can make a phone call...hehe.

Sprint will give you the step by step instructions over the phone. I think it takes like 20 to 30 mins after your phone has been ported and activated for you to be able to use it.
AGEC2008
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I got my phone and it came with my new phone number but when i called *2 it wasn't activated. Does this mean I can just punch in my current verizon number and it will activate that number on my sprint phone?

What are Sprint's policies regarding phone upgrades? If I sign up for SERO, will I be stuck with the same phones for 2 years?
devastor

AGEC2008
Once again please follow the instructions in Post 1 #8. You need to call Sprint and port the number.

golferag
You can upgrade your phone as many times as you want. But everytime you upgrade your phone, you will extend your contract 1 to 2 years, depending on what offer you take for the upgrade.

no prob :-)
I would try ecare and tell them that Verizon you had free txt msg or something like that.

also log in to your account and view your plan and stuff and make sure everything is correct.

It looks like the SERO website does not include all phones that Sprint currently offers. For example, I'm interested in the Samsung SPH-m500 for the wife, but it is not included.

If I call will I be able to get any phone that Sprint offers?
McInnis 03
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Negative. You're going to be stuck with what's on the website because Sprint uses a third party to issue the phones.

You can try though, it probably wouldn't be a first time.

Can I use the rebates for each plan that I sign up for? For example, can I use the $150 rebate for both my plan and my wife's plan? ($300 total rebate)
McInnis 03
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I just sent another email asking if they would apply my company discount (10%).

I have been turned down for everything else, I'm sure this will have the same result.
Gig-Em2003

I called 5 different people and none would budge on the price of the phones. Oh well, if I can get a $150 rebate for each, plus the $75 Kellogg rebate for each, plus the SAVE50 coupon, then I should be good to go.

How long do you want to ignore this user?
In reference to getting cheaper phones: I told them my company was tryin to sell me a Motorola Q type phone and I wanted to give Sprint the opportunity to match/sell me something better and cheaper. That is whY I called retentions.

Courtesy of Dev:

New phone for wife with 150 credit
New phone for me with 150 credit

150 x 2 = 300 rebate courtesy of Devastator

75 dollar rebate from kelloggs on both = 150
extra 75 credit cause i played dumb and they gave it to me to stay.
50 credit POWERUP for buying power vision phone

25 dollar referal credit on each phone = 50

Total:
425 in credits
450 in rebates
50 in referral visa cards from devastator.

925 dollars in free money/credits for 2 new phones all because of this thread.

Wanna do the $25 referal credit?
McInnis 03
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Dev, you gotta be about maxxed out, don't they cap you at $300 a year?

You can only get 12 referrals a year. Surprisingly enough, I only have three referrals so far.

AGEC2008 send me an e-mail at rsoto04 @ gmail.com and I will give you the instructions for us to get $25.

Company discounts are harding to get with SERO accounts, since you get so much with an SERO plan. However, how have you been asking them by just sending e-mails? Send them to the different addresses I have listed and remember to call from time to time. You gotta mix it up.

5150 Time
WOW! Great job, maybe I should ask for a commission :-)

I would have gotten more if I would have read those rebates you posted closer. If you would have called and bought a phone in the 2 day window (4-19 to 4-21), I would have gotten another 300. I am all about getting the system.

PS. I am an existing customer. I told them on the phone that the university was trying to get me to switch to Verizon and they gave me everything under the son. I said to them repeatedly, hopefully you can match this, or I wanna be loyal to Sprint. I then told them about the stuff that the university wanted me to have on my phone and they gave it up. It took me 3 different phone calls and some very careful planning, but you can always get what you want when you put them in the position to "win you back". I deal in customer service, and if you are nasty to me from the outset/blame me for problems, I will only get you so much, I won't bend over backwards for you.
Also, another tip, I was asked how I got to the Retention line, and I told them I was sent here because of the whole Verizon vs Sprint thing. It was a lie, but every rep bought it. FYI, I did not get the SERO plan.
AGEC2008
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Well I didn't get text msgs for free, but I got unlimited for $10. Better than nothing.
Terk
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Ok, so I got 1000 anytime minutes, unlimited mobile to mobile, 7pm nights and weekends, ulimited text messages (had to pay $8), unlimited Power vision... all for $48 per month! Not as good as the SERO plan, but better than what I was paying! And I got the Q for $100 but I am going to send in the Kellogs rebate. BTW I can't get that link to work.

Dev... Do you think there is anything I can do to make my plan better? Or possibly get the SERO? They politely told me I could not qualify. Thanks for all the info man!
5150 Time
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Aggeistud:

Get the 500 text message for free as opposed to unlimited. That cuts 8 off.
Get the discount for where you work. See if that gets you anywhere.
Unless you need 1000 minutes a month, go down to like 700-800, probably cuts like 10-15 dollars.

Wow, I feel like devastor now.
