How long do you want to ignore this user?
I'm on the family plan and not Sero

Thanks for the good news on the Sanyo (it's the Kantana)...maybe that one is better?

I told the lady my wife's mother and brother are going to cingular and my wife wants to jump ship as well unless I could get a good deal.

Got them to add free text messaging this morning. It will go into effect on Monday.

This guy I'm on the phone with now was able to add unlimited texting to both of my lines for $8 each but to compensate he'll give me a $10 credit per month for a year. He said to call back in a year to get it re-compensated. I'll take it.

So basically I get unlimited texting for a year at -$2 per month for two phones. That means I'll end up MAKING $48 on this deal when it expires!

What is the best deal people have been able to get for the Treo 700wx?

Anyone else notice the SERO site changed yesterday?

1. The textbox to enter your zipcode is gone, and there is only a box for the Sprint Employee Email Address. Then when you click "Shop for Sprint >" it spits out a java error that "zipcode.value is null or not an object".

2. Ignoring the error takes you to the next page, but there is no longer a link to inphonic to order. In fact it no longer says ordering through the site is the only way to get the deal, and instead there is now only a 1-888 number to call to order.
McInnis 03
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I don't get a java error, but there is no online order anymore, just the phone order. Not sure if that would change anything.

Looks like Sprint will now be handling SERO orders in house. This is NOT a bad thing. INphonics was horrible and I'm glad they're gone. Maybe my nasty letter to sprint RE: inphonics was the straw that broke the camels back! (yeah right) Anyways, if Sprint handles this in house, I would think things are going to get even better as far as how signups are handled.

They're taking emails over the phone such as savings@sprint.com as acceptable emails for signing up for SERO.
Jim01

I figured InPhonics bad service was maybe the cause of that link dissappearing.

**UPDATE**
Looks like Mclinnis beat me too it. But as of Sunday, May 20, Inphonics is no longer in charge of Sprint SERO plans. Sprint Solutions will be taking over. Inphonics is officially out! Sero plans are being taking over the phone at 1-888-882-4030 and within the coming weeks online orders will be occurring.

What does this mean for you? This means you deal directly with Sprint Customer Service and Employee Solutions. You will have Sprint’s 30 day trial of your phone and service. (Not Inphonics 15 day for the phone).

Sprint in Control With Sprint directly in control they will be throwing out promotions with the SERO plan (such as unlimited txt messaging they have now) and will be also rotating in different phones to use with the SERO plan. Apparently this weekend, Sprint newest phone Tero 755p was on the SERO for a few hours. It is all around great news even for existing SERO customers; any promotion that new customers get, you can get a simple phone call. So keep checking SERO site.

How can this plan get any better? (I know, being able to add a line to a plan). I’m so glad Inphonics is gone, they sucked and it’s about time.

I'm pissed at sprint now...

my contract expired a couple months ago so I was getting ready to call in and try to get some stuff added to my account...

Well, I noticed that they dropped my unlimited PCS to PCS calling as of May 5 and didn't tell me. This on top of already charging to text messages.

I pay 70 bucks a month for 2 lines + a 23% discount from my company.

Can you get the corporate discount on SERO plans?

If not I guess I'm just going to try to get my PCS to PCS back, some text messages, free data, and new phones... wonder if I can get that much... I'm pretty mad and my threat to switch might not be empty.

Sprint is known to change your account details without telling you. Call DIRECTLY to Retentions, and explain to them you have no idea why PCS to PCS calling and txt messages were deleted from your account and now would like to cancel your account unless they can fix it. She will then look into your account and figure out why? Then explain your frustration and tell them that needs to be added back on your account. Then ask for the extra perks. $50 credit for your troubles, lower your Vision charge, etc. Just remember to nicely explain your frustration to them and be patient.

Your second question: You not suppose to be able to add corporate discounts to SERO accounts, however some people have been lucky and were able to add it.

Well, my bill came and they charged me $449 for the extra Q they sent.

I had called and asked for them to send me a box to return it to them, that never came.

I sent an e-mail asking for them to remove the charge, send me the return box, give me free unlimited text messaging, and to reduce the price of the Q I did order by $20 to reflect the new SERO price.

I let you know what happens...

powervision for both lines for 20 - 10/mo service credit for 10 bucks a month.

I own a Q. The battery life is what you expect from a Smartphone with a big screen. Its decent. You definitely cannot be searching the net throughout the day using it and think you can go through the night without charging it.

A car charger is definitely a wise investment. I got mine at Walmart for $10 bucks.

Here is something I found somewhere else that actually works. I just took my outlook program and had it forward an email to me. Pretty sweet.

from "Hurricane Almanac": You can send an email message to any cell phone able to receive text messages by emailing to XXX-XXX-XXXX@teleflip.com (replace the X's with the phone number of the person's cell phone). The message will be forwarded to any cell phone provider in the U.S.

This does work. Great for someone who doesn't want to pay for Vision, yet has unlimited free text messages.

Everyone still lovin' their Q and SERO plan? I am.

Ok so heres another question and it might be long. My ex roommate got married and him and his wife were on a family share plan with his parents. They would just pay the parents for however much..blah blah. So now after the wonderful talk of having the SERO plan they want it. They would get two different accounts and set them up in both of their names. The question is, can you port over a number from a sprint plan to a new sprint plan? Would they be considered new customers since they have not had anything in their name before? Hope this makes since. It's been awhile since I've been on this thread and it seemed to have died a little so I didn't bother to search for it. Thanks for the help.

Dev: I'm looking to call sometime this month to sign up for a SERO plan. I noticed the free text message promotion and that is something I could use. I had a couple of questions. I only need about 1000 or so min and I do not need a PDA. What other phone is reliable and works well? What about phones with a walkie talkie option? How does the data plan work? What exactly is it? What other perks do you think I should ask for (free mobile-to-moble, etc?) Sorry for all the questions but I really want to do my research before I sign up. Thanks

EDIT: I just reread the first page and so forget some of the questions I put on there. I think I am going to ask for the 1250 min plan for 50 bucks. Since I don't want a PDA (unless someone can convince me to buy one for vet school the next 4 years) what other perks will be practical for me? Thanks
McInnis 03
How long do you want to ignore this user?
You make it sound like the perks are easy to get. You have to work for them bro, just plan on the SERO plan being what you get, anything else is gravy.

^---hes right. I've tried 4 times to get free txt since I've only had the phone for 3 weeks but no luck...

For you to port a number YOU must be the owner of both accounts. So the owner will have to port the number. Also it is hard to port existing Sprint accounts. But give it a try, call Retentions @ 1-866-881-9571 and give it a shot.

MexAg95.. I would recommend to first get the SERO plan, especially for the free unlimited txt message promotion expires then worrying about next perk. Frankly SERO plan has every perk that you would need. Maybe push for nights starting at 6 pm. Oh and make sure to use the SAVE50 coupon to get $50 credited to your account!

McInnis03.. totally agree perks are just gravy on top of a great cell phone plan. But you just gonna be persistent. I recently ask some stupid random question about why Picture Mail doesn’t work with Q, even though it’s part of the PowerVision plan. Then at the end was able to get them to add Free Roaming on all 5 of my lines.

I promise you this will work!!
Call 1-866-881-9571 (Employee Solutions)

Just tell them you a new customer with Sprint with a SERO plan and notice the Ulimited Txt Msg promotion on the SERO web site and want to make sure it is on your plan.

there is great info and deals on that site. Others I roam through are:
http://fatwallet.com
http://sprintusers.com
And of course from my own experiences. You will be surprised what you learn but just *2 Sprint. Ask a random question, then by like so hey what else is going on at Sprint? Anything new coming up? That is how I learned that even though SERO plan "states" it will expire Dec '07. It won't! It will go on through 2008.

you can also check your current usage and see what it states for txt messages. What you have used and what is in your plan.
It will also appear on your next bill.

I wonder if the Ops can make this thread into a sticky?
BigAg95
How long do you want to ignore this user?
my plan details say "$5 for 300 SMS" but my current usage says "unlimited"
