Fck no he's not. Multiple people including Savage and BoB have said they're stressing ball security and it's of the utmost importance.

That's what's this offense is. DINK, DINK, DINK. Safe throws all the way down the field eating clock and not turning it over.

I think trying to play a somewhat meaningless preseason game when a rain of Noahic proportion is hammering your family, friends and city might have had some impact on the mental focus of the team.

Not to mention the massive number of offensive starters that didn't play a down. D Brown, D Hopkins. C.J. Feidorowicz, W Fuller, B Miller, and the two power backs the Texans employ in Blue and Foreman. That's a lot of offensive fire power missing there.

Based on last night, it's obvious that Watson isn't ready yet. I can give Savage a pass due to the injured players being out and the simplified game plan. But why so many illegal formation penalties?

Just watched the game. I'm a little surprised at the OL comments. They looked fine to me. Savage just isn't very good at moving in the pocket.

Overall though, this was a frustrating game as a fan. We held out so many players that we couldn't really judge any of the performances. I'm sure O'Brien doesn't care so long as his team his healthy, nor should he I guess.

One guy I've been impressed with is Julien Davenport. I think he takes over LT next year.

Come on man. Trying to grade OL performances through 2 preseason games (at the time) is a joke. Reps, schemes, continuity, etc make the preseason worthless. We had our 2s going against the other team's 1s in each of the last 2 games.

I focused on Julien quite a bit during the last 2 games and he was strong in pass protection IMO. I wouldn't want him to start right now, but he's further along than I thought he'd be at this point.

Goodness Ryan, you are the only and I mean only person who stated that the OL looked all right.

It sucked, we couldn't run, and it was the mobile Watson that was sacked not the immobile Savage. Geez, you bias against Savage is still evident.

The OL was so bad they rolled the immobile Savage out to the right where he completed a 14 yard pass.

I mean they rolled Savage OUT!!!!! LOL

I agree that Watson didn't move in the pocket very well either. I was just remarking on how the 1st team OL did, which was when Savage was in. Both QBs threw a lot of passes with defenders in their face when they could have had a clean throw if they had manipulated the pocket better.

I understand where you're coming from, but this was cancelled because it's a meaningless pre-season game. If the Texans were in the middle of the season like the Astros, they would have found a way for this game to be played

Well obviously they wouldn't have just cancelled it.

I meant they would've treated like any rain out. They'd probably squeeze it in at the end of the year if it was needed.

My point being they shouldn't be playing. Kudos to the NFL for getting this right.

It would have been a better solution for the Astros & Rangers to "flip flop" their games and play this week's games in Arlington and have the Rangers come in to Houston for their scheduled series in September. But the Rangers refused and they're playing in Florida right now.

As for Thursday night's preseason game, the Cowboys & the NFL did the right thing.

Don't forget that he had 1500 yards and 11 td's while catching passes from 4 qb's that don't belong in the NFL. IMO he's a top 5 WR, great teammate, and hard worker.
