Well familiar with that area. I worked at Love Field and NW Hwy to I35 was my way home for 20 years. I'm still trying to figure out how she got that far on NW Hwy from North Park.

I'd also like to point out that she is NOT "elderly". She's MY age!

Pretty scary that Bocephus, his buddies on the scene, and the horrible arresting officer have the power to seriously screw with someone's life.

I especially liked how the Dallas PD chief started trying the case in the press. Then when countered with inconsistencies, pronounced "we're not going to try this in the press".

I think the working theory on here is that she was trying to take a new route while driving her grandchild home , and became lost.

I think the sad part is I think Chief Garcia truly believed his officers and now has learned a very valuable lesson that they will lie to him to protect themselves and each other. I do not expect him ever to go to bat for one of them like that without all the information.

You have the careful, the minute you cross into the city limits, they're on you. Virgin bonuses for arresting someone from out of state who says this is their first visit to Texas.

So, you wanted West to backdoor privilege getting a favor to avoid prosecution for a crime his wife seemingly didn't commit?!

I'm going to break it to you... defending my wife's "honor" and "character" would be pretty important to me. I go to bed every night with my wife.

I think Bocephus may be head strong but that doesn't make him a bad cop. I truly believe he wouldn't have manufactured evidence as with this case, the smell of alcohol or McDonald's cup BS.

You want to know who didn't get asked "What did your husband do?"

Every day she is asked, "Why didn't your husband <xyz>" would be another night of drama for the spouse. I'm happily married... most nights.

I agree. I tried to cover that situation by saying DPD needs to respond accordingly. If she lied on the report, firing and prosecution would be the appropriate response.

In the video when the flashlight is directly on the blouse, there is no stain. If there were and I missed it, I am sure that one of our Texag sleuths would have posted a frame showing the stain to prove me wrong.

She had 2 shirts on. A clear/wet stain on the unbuttoned white one would be super difficult to see on video. In any case, in one of Allen West's videos he acknowledged a stain and blamed the baby. Of all the arguments on this thread, I think this one can be let go

Just watched the Dashcam video. That Bocephus could take that and say Mrs. West had a 0.15 BAC is nuts. She seemed like a frustrated older lady that was confused on why she was going through all of that and confused by the directions of the officer; which were pretty pathetic.
