Thanks. We're going to try to find a place to stay within walking distance in that case. Got PIT for both nights.BenFiasco14 said:
The venue itself is just fine, but it's a ***** and a half to get in and out of. It's on Tu's campus, so there's no nearby parking. Highly recommend getting a ride there if you can. It's a logistical nightmare leaving too. Good luck lol. I personally won't be back to it based on where it is and the logistics of it again, unless it's something I truly can't miss. Like Elvis Presley back from the dead.

Wow I bet that was great. My buddy that came through with tickets and the whole VIP thing last minute said he got hooked a year and a half ago seeing him at some BBQ place in Salado and it wasn't even sold out.LSCSN said:
Saw Charlie at Floores and it was fantastic.
From his IG story the day before the Charley show. Still haven't figured out if this was from arriving back to the states or from Nashville to Austin. Just hope he has that thing fixed within 9 days from now (He has two and I assume there will be no issues....I hope).maroon barchetta said:
What did they do to his guitar?

Saw Toadies at HOB on Dec 27th in Houston.
I've seen them 15-20 times but it had been a while. They sounded great. Especially pleasantly surprised at how amazing Vaden's voice sounds. They played three new songs so hopefully a new album coming this year. It was a great show!
It was also PACKED. Reminded me why I really don't like HOB. That venue stinks. NO room in center. Just a small section before the stupid VIP table section. GA gets pushed too much to the wings.
Flickerstick opened and was good. I forgot how catchy their first album is.

This can bookend the OP or keep it going.
Billy 2 night run in NOLA was incredible. So much so that he's already booked a 3 night run in NOLA again for next NYE at UNO Arena (if new thread is started I can already post where I'll be in 12 months).
As a short guy, I thoroughly enjoyed being off the floor for a change with all the room in the world to move on the aisles and not a person blocking my vision for a single minute of six plus hours.
Night 1:
NYE which had a pretty sweet countdown and balloon drop at midnight and a full 3 set show:
Im sure majority of people went to both shows so i assume N1 had mostly originals but he has become known for his covers and he makes them his own.62strat said:johnnyblaze36 said:

Not knocking on the guy; but that NyE set had 20 covers? Then only ~dozen originals?
Are there really that many people willing to pay to go see a guy play a bunch of covers?
I guess the appeal is a bit lost on me. I've watched some vids of him at red rocks, it's good; I could imagine me jammin that out if I was at a festival or something. But going to a headline show of it?
Most music since 2010 or so is terrible. I can totally believe people would want to see someone playing covers.62strat said:johnnyblaze36 said:

the first night was about the same original list with 13 covers instead of 20 lol.goadius6 said:Im sure majority of people went to both shows so i assume N1 had mostly originals but he has become known for his covers and he makes them his own.62strat said:johnnyblaze36 said:

A lof of the bands in this circle (jam) are known for their covers, and especially they try to make it fun on NYE to mix it up a little.
