Enjoyed it, but I also thought it was a good example of why this show should stay 30 minutes and not an hour. The Jack Black stuff was just weird and seemed like filler.

agree. there were some LOL moments, and some WTF moments as well.

effing awesome episode. from the opening scene to kelly standing up and starting to dance to staying alive.

freaking great.

i agree though, the jack black stuff was a bit much.

That was great. We learned Michael became a boss simply because "boss" used to mean "cool."

My favorite scene was when they all started singing and dancing to staying alive and the cpr lady had just this look of wtf on her face, like she could not believe this was happening. Pure greatness. Favorite Kelly moment of all time.

i don't think that's why he became a boss, just some of his typical idiotic thoughts.

The opening scene was fantastic. Been a long time since I laughed that hard. Kelly dancing during CPR was great as well.

"We had to pay thirty-five hundred dollars to replace the dummy"

"The dummy cost five thousand, three hundred dollars?"

or something like that...loved that line

See I thought this line was too much. The guy is awkward, but to portray him as that stupid is insulting to the viewer, in my opinion.

There were definitely some funny moments, but it felt like they were struggling to stretch to the allotted 45 minutes. And I'm a fan of previous hour-long episodes. The movie scenes were terribly out of place, distracting, and unfunny, not to mention disgusting. Old people making out is not funny; it's gross.

Better than the season opener hour episode IMO...

The look on Wallace's face was absolutely priceless.

jim's fax to dwight from the future is still my favorite opening scene.

I wonder if the Jack Black movie was just meant to be a curveball to the viewers. Everybody knew there was going to be a roast, and everybody knew Jack Black was going to be on there. So everybody just assumed Jack Black would be part of the roast.

I do agree that it was disgusting watching him make out with a 200 year old woman. Andy's reactions to what her peceived as Jim and Pam's movie insights were pretty great though.

Kevin performing chest compressions on the dummy...

Kevin: I can't keep doing this forever.

Red Cross woman: It's been twenty seconds.

Kevin: Call it.

Sorry, but this was not a great episode. I like the more subtle-humored Office's, and this one was totally over-the-top. To me, Dwight is at his funniest when interacting with Jim, and there was none of that. Example - Jim describing Battlestar Galactica to Andy while Dwight listens, trying to keep working, is one of my favorite scenes ever.

Not funny:
1. Jack Black movie
2. Jim and Pam (wasn't meant to be funny, I know)
3. Dwight's part in the fire drill (too over-the-top)
4. Roast

Funny:
1. Kevin
2. Cat through the hot ceiling
3. Michael roasting employees
4. Stanley laughing at Michael's roast of him
5. Creed

I still love the show, and can't wait 'til Thursday.

That was awesome. Andy was freaking out, convinced Jim and Pam had genius insights and wondering why he wasn't seeing the same things.

Yes, I, Snowdog90 have spoken. All ye peasants shall bow down before me while I spew forth my Office opinions. Ye shall see the wrath of the yellow snow-cone if thou disagreeth, and THOU SHALT EAT SAID SNOW-CONE.

Is there a new episode tonight?

How long do you want to ignore this user?
i tend to agree with snowdog. i find the over the top stuff (like dwight setting a fire and trapping the entire office) to be less funny than the more subtle stuff (like the epsidoe from tuesday on TBS where michael/andy, jim/dwight, ryan/stanley, and karen/phyllis all go on sales calls).

michael's "boom, roasted" was probably the highlight for me.

How long do you want to ignore this user?
I naturally find myself bouncing between wanting more subtle stuff or more over-the-top.

I think the writers of this show have been genius in the way they give us both.

Creed: When have I ever given you bad advice, Jim?

something like that

My son was yapping during the show and I haven't re-watched it yet, but I could have sworn there was a Squeaky Fromme reference made by Creed. Awesome.

Tonight's episode was one of my favorites.... and I'm not sure why.

First time in a while I've watched a show by myself and laughed out loud through the whole thing. Lots of funny moments

The very end scene with Creed and Jim seriously cracked me up

How long do you want to ignore this user?
last ngiht's episode was very solid. I think this was due to more Jim/Dwight, and less Jim/Pam and over-the-top Michael

Jim/Dwight: funny
over-the-top Michael: awkward and unrealistic
Jim/Pam: lame

Creed looking out the window when Michael was talking over the PA was awesome!

How long do you want to ignore this user?
Now THAT was a great episode. Start to finish, awesome.

I loved when Michael was like, "remember Holly from HR?" and Pam played dumb and then was like, "oh perfect boobs, yeah now I know you who mean."

How long do you want to ignore this user?
Great episode - Creed is always funny - even when he is not the focal point of the scene. Michael was funny when he saw Karen. He's consistently awkwardly funny when things take him by surprise, and that REALLY took him by surprise.

Jim and Dwight as the new party planners - AWESOME!!!

"Screw you guys, you're dead to me"
"Screw you Beet Farmer"

Kellie was awesome.

How long do you want to ignore this user?
Great episode. Creed giving Nard-dog advice, and then calling him Jim was classic. Then the $3 bill at the end was greatness.

Loved Dwight's line: "You've hurt my feelings. But my feelings heal twice as fast as a normal man, so I'll be fine."

How long do you want to ignore this user?
I agree, most complete episode of the season.....not much different than a season 2 or 3 episode
