Awesome episode, getting back to what it used to be! Great quoted too...
'your right we're tight-ends, we're also quarterbacks....'

I think they could have gotten a couple more episodes out of the MS paper company. It would have been a nice season ending episode.

Oh yeah, great call on the "Michael and crew were returning to DM". Gee, no one would have thought of that.

I finally got to watch last week's episode just before I watched this week's. Both were great. Easily the best of the season, and probably the best since Jim left for the other branch.

Well done Michael and crew. Selling an almost bankrupt company for $60K + getting jobs at the new company is unbelievable.

I thought they negotiated for their jobs back INSTEAD OF the $60K. Am I wrong?

I'm pretty sure he got the $60k too.

I do not think they got 60K on top of their old jobs.

I am fairly certain they opted for just their jobs back instead of the 60K. Pam specifically said "No, jobs are better" when they were discussing it.

I loved the fact that Michael drinks just milk & sugar as his "coffee".

Where has Creed been lately???

Ya the CFO guy said "That's more than 60k" when he was talking about all 3 of them getting jobs.

it was funny because everyone caught the mistake, but uncomfortably chose not to address it and let it stand

I would have liked to have seen the MSPC plotline develop further, but if this turn of events finally kills the lame Charles-Jim interaction, I'm good with it.

these last two weeks have been very good. I love it when they can show Michael, while maintaining his idiocy, can still get the better of people in business at times. And Jim was just brilliant last night.

The last part, "No, you're done here." Was great, Michael giving it right back.

you didn't like that? I thought it was a great way to go. Everyone always likes Jim, (except Dwight) and it was just so great and awkward that Jim knew he wasn't liked by Charles. I thought it was excellent.

Awesome, awesome episode.

My only beef is that there is no way in hades that DM would hire Ryan again. 0% chance of that happening.

loved it. Once again, Michael proved he can close a deal when it really matters.

+1

and that it just faded to commercial was great...I hit pause as I started laughing and then realized i was just pausing the commericial break...

that and the 'our balls are in your court' were the greatness

I liked Pam's comparison of joining Michael to letting a kid drive a car. "It's not the kid's fault, he doesn't know any better. It's the 30 year old woman who gets in the passenger seat and says, 'No, you drive'."

I don't think Ryan lasts long at DM. He'll screw up and get fired or just stop showing up or something.

^Best part of this scene was the ending of the phone call.

Yes, Jim's constant whiffing at attempts to impress Charles was great. It reminded me of a situation I had at work a few years ago when my old boss, laid back as could be, left, and a big-wig from corporate came for a month or so. My brand of humor failed miserably in front of a guy who "just" wanted to work!

I think they just reassigned him to corporate or another branch

He was never the permanent manager of the Scranton branch. He was hired to fill the spot once held by Jan and Ryan (some sort of regional VP, I don't think they ever actually disclosed the title of that position). He was just running the Scranton branch on an interim basis until they hired a replacement for Michael. Plus, there was something said between him and David Wallace last night about it being a good way to "learn the paper business."

He was never going to run Scranton long term.

Wonder how Dwight will get back on Michael's good side?

Jim: "Yeah, but you didn't" was a nice shot.

I find Michael and Pam's relationship interesting. Michael reveals his redeeming qualities to Pam (i.e. he shows up at the art exhibit) and she has a certain confidence in him that no one else does. This despite Michael being the kid behind the wheel.

Kelly's line with her ear on the glass should have been Kevin's or Creed's.

The best part was when Michael blurted out "MSPC has Nothing! But it isn't about money or business it is about people. And if MSPC goes broke, I'll start another company and then another one, and another one. I have plenty of Comapany names left"!

I just wished they had ended it with the office giving him a round of applause, especially the ones that do not really respect him.

I also laughed really hard when David Wallace said hello to the office, and started talking..then shortly after Kelly said hi..then he started talking again...then Kevin said "HELLO"..I dont know why that made me laugh hard too.he cracks me up!
