I don't think anything will happen with the college guy.

I think it was just another way to set up the big surprise of Jim proposing. They lure you into thinking for a second that maybe Pam will fall for this college guy, but then out of nowhere Jim proposes.

Lots of funny stuff in this one but the line that killed me (mostly because of its PERFECT delivery) was Andy saying something to the effect of "I don't lose competitions. I win them.............Or quit them".

I about died after that line.

I thought it was a great ep. My office has had similar "health challenges" that tanked accordingly. Holly getting called out on thinking Kevin was retarded was awesome. Michael wasnt too annoying. Jim didnt mug for the camera too often. Thought everyone got fair screen time. The Jim/Pam engagement surprised me (even though I watched the S4 finale this week) and i thought it was handled very well, and in a very low-key, non "Friends" way.

Lots of good lines in that episode but that part that killed me was the covert birthday party followed by Dwight rushing in and kicking the cake. "Happy birthday Stanley!"

not true. though i dont think it was the andy making up the names, the writers have said that they do have improvision in the show (per season 4 dvd)
