Let me get this straight.

Surfing is now an Olympic sport?

And to wedge it in, we can't even have it closer than 10,000 miles from where the games are taking place?

Might that be a sign that a sport is not worthy of inclusion if it can't be "played" universally?

Made it to Paris! This is from last night where we came in and just walked around. The vibes are amazing. There's armed police in groups of 4 every direction I look; which makes it feel safe.

We walked into a corner store in the 7th arondissment where we're staying, it genuinely felt like the United Nations in there in the best possible way! Fans from Brazil , China, Spain, and Mexico were in there with us.

So far it's been amazing. We'll see how the public transport goes today. Our first event is a fencing final tonight where we'll root for American and world #1 Nick Itkin in the Men's Foil!

Didn't she get tripped in the final of the Olympic Trials? Not really a hamstring issue in that race.

she didn't race all year due to a hamstring. She came back for the trials and tripped in the finals and did not make the team.
