Yeah, they're going to do swimming in SoFi stadium but also use SoFi in the Opening Ceremonies. Got to have time to make it a swimming venue.

The most bizarre aspect of 2028 is softball and some of the kayaking/canoeing being held in Oklahoma City. I get it, they're using existing facilities, but I feel for the Olympians in those sports. "You're an Olympian! Hollywood! No, here is your ticket to Oklahoma."

Yep, they are holding the Opening Ceremony and swimming at SoFi Stadium and need the time to turn over the building for swimming. 38,000 capacity for swimming--it's going to be insane.

where is track gonna be held, the Coliseum? Such an iconic venue.

And yes the OKC thing is weird but as someone who's wife had a small hand in the passing of the initiative that led to the whitewater facility getting built, it's a sweet deal for the city. And the Hall of Fame softball complex is the best in the world.

China is about to advance to a Gold Medal bout in womens wrestling

They also have a Boxer going for Gold tonight (& tomorrow) and another one in a Semi-final

I guess I don't get that at all, there isn't any softball stadiums anywhere in Cali to use? Or minor league park. all the way to OKC seems odd. also shows you how little support softball gets from college fans. You'd think UCLA would have one of the nicest facilities in the country

I hate to say it, but we need to get the Rooskies back in this thing. It's one thing to cede all the golds in table tennis and diving to China, but letting them dominate weightlifting, boxing, etc. as well becomes a lot to overcome. The remnants of the Soviet sports system give the Chinese some competition in these niche events.
