I completely understand why other fans hate his BS on the pitch. But the man is a leader and has integrity (in spite of the flops).
EDIT: OK, after further review he did shake his hand but definitely wasn't a warm greeting.

He's doing this hoping to get released. He won't be sent anywhere in a transfer. He just wants to get cut. Or paid to walk.
That is definitely what he is doing. Once he realized they were not going to use him, he went into went forward with the plan to make United need to cut him to make the dark cloud go away.

I did not defend Ronaldo. The team has better options than Ronaldo, he is behaving poorly and should be cut. Why allow him to mess things up? if you are not going to use him, why put up with the antics that are only negatively affecting the team when you are trying to rebuild?

I agree that how all this is being handled appears poor but, despite lack of great management I still like to think just maybe there is a reason behind the madness....just not clear as to what and may never be made public.

You can argue this both ways. It is clear that CR doesn't have a real interest in Man U. He has been a distraction, period.
True, it was very obvious that CR did not have an interest to be with MU, but that was only brought to light after they did not play him. A guy like CR has too big an ego to spend all the time on the bench and then brought in as a sub with 2:00 minutes left in the game. I would guess that too. Maybe they negotiated some sort of compromise so that he didn't get his entire salary due through June 30 but I doubt Ronaldo walked away with nothing.
If he wants more playing time, then he needs to be more engaged on the field. He's a good player, but his tactics of allowing the team he is on to be a 10 v 11 team unless the ball is directly coming his way happens too often.
As I stated before they should part ways from him and they just did. I am just surprised that it took this long for it to get this way. There was no reason to keep him on the team the last few months when CR was poisoning the well. If the club is smart (they're not but stay with me), they'll use the next month to identify a striker and get him in on January 1st. The kind of player you're going to get early isn't going to be great. I don't care. Just get a body because right now we have Mr. Glass (aka Anthony Martial) as our only recognizable striker.
Then look for a 2nd forward that you can bring in later in the month. Obviously sooner is better but I'd be willing to wait for a good forward. Doesn't need to be a great forward because you're not getting the Osimhen's of the world in January. But it should be possible to get some talent in January if you do your business properly.

So far I've heard a David Beckham led (in name anyway) consortium, Jim Ratcliffe, and Amancio Ortega (owner of Zara...worth $60 billion) are all interested. I believe none of them but still...fun times.
