I don't know why anyone is shocked by this, he would've joined us by now if he really wanted to. Missing out on CL this year was a huge setback for recruitment and retention (Ronnie)

Nothing like being in a position where you really need a 37 year old disgruntled forward that doesn't want to be there. Real recipe for success. good news is there is still a month in the transfer window to go get a real 6 and a forward.

I'd personally go false 9 or stick Rashford up front. But there is no good solution to this situation. Wild when you can't adequately cover for an injury to ANTHONY FREAKING MARTIAL.

I'm an everton fan, so not much room for criticism.. but I'd not put a midget at CB in the prem. I think he'd be a great CDM in place of Fred that just sits back and helps move the ball around. I don't understand why Varane and Ronaldo are on the bench. It's a travesty.

Varane has been injured during pre-season and Ronaldo didn't start pre-season till like 2 weeks ago. Neither our fit to start a game. Martinez has not been the issue at CB. The issue has been Maguire and two turds in midfield.

I mean he was knocked off the ball quite easily and had to earn a yellow to stop a break in on goal. Both goals were on balls played across the box. I dont see how you can blame Maguire and not Martinez. The balls beat both of them, if I'm not mistaken.

When announcers use the phrase "nobody wants to see that" when players fight or something and we're all like no we actually do want to see that. In this instance, that was so bad truly no one wants to see it.

Go back and watch the 1st goal and tell me what exactly Maguire is doing and who he is defending. He's flat footed when the initial pass behind comes as he's considering pressuring the passer but doesn't and then can't get back to defend. Martinez goes to cover Welbeck. Nothing wrong with his positioning there. Maguire is doing literally nothing and instead is kind of trotting around the 18. There's usually a lot of mistakes leading to a goal but Martinez is way down the list on the 1st. McTominay is at the top.

I'll give you the yellow card.
