Atletico can F off. From what ive heard they are only willing to do a loan to buy and they refuse to allow us to use Lucas as make weight for Partey. If we have to do a loan to buy id rather send him to Italy. Supposedly Milan, Torino & Fiorentina are still interested.

Inaka Cana and Runnarsson were both at FC Nordjaelasdfrewdfsdfjfeuy at the same time, so there's certainly familiarity there.

From a financial standpoint, its a low-risk deal. From a performance standpoint, its got some real risk, but they acted quickly and confidently on this so I'll trust them for now.

Agreed. Didn't expect to see Ozil in an Arsenal match again, but Arteta did say that Guendo has a clean slate so a little surprised by his omission

I think they are still trying to get rid of him. Claims a couple days ago that he had informally requested to leave. Which was interesting considering he had rejected 2-3 deals to leave because he didn't think the buying club was prestigious enough.

Arteta was super cagey when asked about Ozil after the game. Guendouzi keeps showing in photos and videos of practice, smiling, laughing, looking at ease and fully a part of the team; I know that doesn't mean much, but you wouldn't know anything was wrong based on how he's acting at practice.

I suspect that as part of the clean slate, Guendouzi is expected to fully work himself back into a deserving position. And that Arteta isn't going to rush that process.

I actually saw something maybe 2 weeks ago that said we had agreed with the player but needed to sort out details with Lyon. If that is popping up more today that could be an indicator that A) a deal is close or B) Aouar's agent is trying to push for something. If we can get it done, I really like this purchase. My only concern is that I do not see an effective MF with he, Dani & Xhaka at the same time and I still think we need a #6 if we ever plan to get out of the 3 man back line.
