So we get f'ed by a completely unintentional foul that happens to be in the box. Then they destroy our player up the pitch and "oh that's only a yellow". That is the problem. If it is a yellow outside the box. It is a yellow inside the box
Nothing happened which is the problem. Striker was past Luiz and and his heel kicked Luiz in the knee as he went by. Striker initiated the contact. I do think it can be a penalty. There is no way in hell its a red cardAustinScubaAg said:
Can't watch but it is supposed to be very hard to get both a red card and a Penalty under the new rules. From the comments I can't tell what happened.
It was DOGSO in the area with no attempt to play the ball.AustinScubaAg said:

Arsenal were all over them before the ref ruins the game. Even if it is pen. Arsenal would have scored more than 1 today. This match was given away by the refPJYoung said:
Wolves with 3 points in their previous 8 PL games. Amazing.
Well if that is what was ruled the Ref F'd up. DOGSO is not a red when a penalty is given that was the rule change unless it was also serious foul play. Sound like the ref today really messed up.Mathguy64 said:It was DOGSO in the area with no attempt to play the ball.AustinScubaAg said:

They'll win the Luiz appeal. He'll only miss one.AggieRob93 said:
Well, stupidity reigns the day. Laughable.
At least there is no Luiz for the next two matches.
Since when do we ever when an appeal. The league almost never overturns the ban on appeal for cases like have been described mainly because then they admit the Ref essentially change the outcome of the game.wangus12 said:They'll win the Luiz appeal. He'll only miss one.AggieRob93 said:

Gougs, can you breakdown by Arsenal player? Any trend, other than this squad has established a tendency to draw red cards at a 3:1 clip compared to the rest of the league?gougler08 said:
Yikes:
Red cards since Mikel Arteta was appointed
9 Arsenal
3 Norwich

He didn't. DOGSO is yellow in the area if you make an attempt to play the ball. It's red if you commit the DOGSO foul without attempting to play the ball. Normally that's a holding type foul. And Luiz definitely wasn't making any attempt at playing the ball. As noted he was just running and contact was made knee to heel.AustinScubaAg said:Well if that is what was ruled the Ref F'd up. Well in that case no way to over turn match ban on appeal. The league will never admit Ref and VAR screwed up that badly.Mathguy64 said:He didn't. That was a just a copy of a tweet, not sure who has them all but I bet Luiz has at least 33%AggieRob93 said:Gougs, can you breakdown by Arsenal player? Any trend, other than this squad has established a tendency to draw red cards at a 3:1 clip compared to the rest of the league?gougler08 said:

Agree. He's just loafing around. I get that a W now is unlikely but you only get 30 min on the pitch, BUST YOUR A$$.wangus12 said:
Bringing Auba on was a mistake. Pepe should have stayed on
Looks like a trend to me. Well, hopefully Luiz sees a 2 match ban, but knowing Arsenal luck, the club will appeal and win, reducing it to only 1 match.wangus12 said:Luiz has 3.gougler08 said:That was a just a copy of a tweet, not sure who has them all but I bet Luiz has at least 33%AggieRob93 said:Gougs, can you breakdown by Arsenal player? The impressive form Arsenal had exhibited recently was going to come to an end eventually. Couldn't recover from the ugly end of the first half.
See my frustration is that even if its a penalty, the game isn't ruined. 11v11, I'd have backed Arsenal to grab another goal or 2. They changed the damn rules so that teams weren't over penalized with a pen/red card combo, especially for something like this where the striker is the one who causes everything.OneBlitzer said:

That's a fairly dooms day take on it. We lost 2-1 after getting a terrible red card.
