Agreed. Only #6 types I've seen linked recently are Partey (Atletico) and Diawara (Roma). Doubt Partey happens. Buyout is too high. Diawara would be an excellent option if we can sort it out. Other MF options that have been lined recently are Dani (another loan), Thiago (Bayern) & Aouar (Lyon). Arteta has been helping develop Dani's defensive skills but he along with those other 2 are really more offensive/creative options.

I feel like Torreira could be the #6 but doesn't rate for whatever reason

He is a bit too small /unimposing to be a #6 in the EPL, atleast for how Arteta seems to want the #6 to play. Probably doesn't help that his passing really hasn't been very good. Basically he is a ball winning #6 but so far in the EPL he tends to get pushed around and fouled a good bit. The Diawara cat that we are trying to get from Roma looks to have the skillset to be a better fit for Arteta.

Seeing reports that Wolves are "in advanced talks" to sign AMN. Supposedly they have already offered him a 4 yr deal. Best I can tell, they have not yet approached Arsenal about a fee.

Man he was our swiss army knife in terms of filling in holes. Hopefully we get a decent fee ~20m maybe? Put that towards Partey or another midfielder.

PSG are apparently going after Bellerin and there is a rumor that we may be offering him up.

I'm not sure I understand the logic of sending out Bellerin if AMN is on his way out the door as well. Sure you have Cedric but if you send out both Bellerin & AMN now you need a backup RB and to a lesser degree you need someone other than Saka that can cover at LB because Kola is atrocious there.

Every link to new players has been non-HG and atleast half of the outgoing links have been HG. Maybe I am wrong but I don't think I have heard a single link to a HG player in months. The big problem here... Our current non-HG count is 17 (already at the max) and that does not include Gabriel.

Of the non-HG...
- We are rumored to be shopping Sokratis, Mustafi & Laca
- ElNeny supposedly is drawing interest from a couple Turkish clubs
- Lucas wants to go back to Italy and is rumored to be wanted by 3-4 different clubs
- Duezy pissed off Arteta to the point that he likely never wears and Arsenal kit again
- Kola sucks and needs to be moved
- Who the hell knows what is going on with Ozil

If any of the above HGs are moved we really need to be bringing in current HG or U21s. If those U21s are over 18 we will once again need to find more HG options in the near future. You are also taking a pretty big risk bringing in too many U21s and expecting them to contribute to the main roster.

Yep. AMN is probably better suited to WB vs FB though he could play both. I also think he is better at WB than Bellerin. With the number of CBs we have on the roster, I could see us opting to spend most of the season in a 3-4-3 with AMN & Tierney at WB.

Kinda looks like a good ol' fashioned 5 at the back for Arsenal at times. Just so much space in the midfield the wings are just roaming quite a bit, especially Cedric
