One runner, after finishing his loop and dropping, cooked an egg burrito while showering. Like, took a camp stove and skillet into the shower, cooked the eggs, etc., and ate the tortilla. In the shower. #BM100

I'd never bet against her, but who knows. She's doing the Western/Hardrock double, so does she save something for Hardrock? Knowing what I know about her, I don't think she holds back, but who knows?

Long winter for Salt Lake City. Buffalo Run cancelled halfway through the 50M and 50K events. Half of the 100 milers already finished by the time this happened. Next ultra in Utah is the Salt Flats which hopefully will be cooler this year.

Ran Brazos Bend 25K today and did much better than I thought I would. But dang……it was hot and humid.

I want to do Brazos Bend sometime but I have Wild Canyons in a couple of weeks. I chose buffalo over gators this year.

I If I had to pick one I'd go with Colorado Bend. That's my favorite of the 4 on the calendar this year.

My preference:

I enjoyed the Pedernales Falls 30k night race I did back in 2020. I started around 7:30pm. It's a fun way to practice night races and get out of the heat in the summer days. There were definitely times where you are running all alone in pitch black conditions. Pretty surreal if you have never experienced it.

I'm planning to do a 100k soon and that will have me in the dark at the end. I figure it's probably better to give it a go when I'm not exhausted first.
