I had bronchitis ALL last week and am now just back to normal. I was unable to work out and my diet was not the best. I finally worked out again this morning and could catch my breath. My goal for 4/15 is to be at 195.4. Here's to getting back on track! I won't let a little bronchitis throw me off!

I've been having a little frustration lately, but maybe I shouldn't be.

Let me know what you think.

I've dropped 20-25 lbs since the year started. But I've been pretty flat since mid March. BF% (which I haven't tracked as closely) has dropped from 25ish% to 17-19% range.

I've been training for specific events. Event #1 was at the end of March. Event #2 is at the end of June. Event #2 requires more strength so starting April I've added weight training for the first time 8ish years. I continue the same cardio exercises I've been doing all year.

Over the past two weeks I've seen my weight creep up by 3-5 lbs with no change in bf%. Actually bf% is hanging out in the 19% range.

Diet is pretty much constant over that period.

Could I attribute that gain to muscle? I would've thought the bf% would have dropped if that was the case? And it doesn't seem like I'd be gaining that much so quickly.

BF % is measure with a tanita scale.

Did you add in the weights about the time the weight gain started? It might not be pure muscle, but water weight associated with starting a new routine. I wouldn't worry about it too much if you know your food is good.

Every day, right after waking up but after I pee. Generally that is my lowest weight any given day.

220.7 this morning. Ate like a butt yesterday and woke up feeling gross. Hoping to see 217's this week. Got to a low of 218.6 last week.

173 this morning. Haven't weighed that since high school. Every day I lose another pound is another day I say the same thing. :P I plan to keep losing until I stabilize at 169, then changing my eating to stay at maintenance.

Weight moving in the right direction overall, although Easter wasn't a great day in that regard. I am glad that the week off from running seemed to help my foot.

199 this morning. Finally broke the 200 mark!

It's been slow but steady progress having lost 21 lbs over the past 18 weeks, so about 1 lb/week!

do you drink at all on the weekends?

I've noticed that my weight goes up around 3 or 4 pounds after a weekend if I've gone out.

Even though I'm off of beer and stick to vodka and whiskey if I'm going to drink, I think that must add some water weight temporarily (for me anyway). The reason is that I'll see a spike on Monday morning from my Friday low, but it will go back down to weekday levels by Tuesday or Wednesday.

I'm pretty good about counting my calories so I know I'm not eating near enough to gain 4 lbs in a couple days.

Anyone else experience this?

I don't drink but usually we'll eat out or twice on the weekend. It'll be within my calories for the most part but sodium is a *****. Lowest weight is always Thursday/Friday.

216.5 this morning.

My short term goal is to be 211 by mid-June which is really possible. That would be about 30 pounds down and all the weight I gained back in 2018. I weighed 211.5 on 1/1/2018.

It's not unusual at all for my scale to show a 3-4 lb increase on Monday compared to Friday.

By Wednesday it's usually back to the Friday weight.

I'm not sure what causes it - it seems to happen even whether I drink or not on the weekend.

I plan on doing a completely dry June so I'll see what happens then.
