I may have missed it, but we usually know B-2's are about to engage because we can see them take off from their base in the the US. Were they forward deployed? I didn't know we deployed the B-2, at all. I thought we always launched from the US and just fueled in the air for a round trip to the target.

We forward-deploy B-2s at a variety of locations. As for this strike, here you go: CONUS

why does iran still have missile capability? Even if they have them stored underground, why hasn't launch capability been destroyed?

Iran has thousands of missiles of different types and hundreds of launchers either deeply buried and camouflaged or mobile and constantly changing location in a large, rugged country.

Its like the Scud missiles. They can blend in well with the terrain. They dont know where they are till they are fired. Then they can take them out.

Software is just now getting to the point where it can help analyze…

But say you find, identify, and send targeting data…by the time all that's done it could be a solid hour.

Circular Area Probable (CEP) defines the accuracy of the munition. For example, the CEP of a Mk82 drop from a B-52 at low level requires the crew to perform at CEP 300'. I was always inside 10'. (-;

Awfully nice of the Iranian regime to provide the Israeli's the succession list...makes eliminating them more convenient.

Have no way of knowing if a story I saw yesterday was remotely true but with how quickly these new successors are being taken out, have to wonder. The story was that the Mossad had infiltrated elite dental and medical clinics that catered solely to IRGC and upper level regime members. And that they were able to place tracking devices such as in fillings in their teeth and subdural, under their skin. If that was even remotely true, would never want to be on Mossad's bad side.

Not current to this conflict, but keep in mind the Iranian anti-mossad unit in 2024 was headed by...a Mossad agent.

The Israeli's have been willing to spend generously to infiltrate Iranian leadership structures directly and indirectly for many years. We are jointly cashing in on those investments this month, imho.
